I can say it was a bit humbling to order one of my recent shirts in an XXL :o when most others spec out in XL. all good, I need to cut out this gluten from my diet anyhow

@Epaulet

we're still waiting on those larger waffleknit measurements, right? I don't want to miss that window of getting mine back (but can proactively send back if need be in preparation)

Thanks!

Just looking for some general feedback on how to proceed, as I'm sure these will be great shirts and i just need to get the sizing right.

I wear a size 40R suit jacket and am a size 40/15.75/medium in most shirt makes. I wear a size large in EPNY shirts. I do own a size medium EPNY shirt that I bought on sale, and wear quite a bit in casual situations, but it is a bit too snug in the chest and short in the arms to be ideal.

That looks like a really well done Safari shirt.

The measurements are accurate. Go with them rather than a tagged size.

I find all other measurements are in line with many high end brands, but the chest measurements for EP are quite small.

Did anyone else notice their Southwick jackets shrank at the waist over the summer? The LBM still fits well, thank goodness.

That safari shirt with the 187 monogram is killer. How would the safari shirt look with a band collar?

Anyone else still waiting for their Southwick jackets?

@Epaulet Was that measurement video still going up sometime today? I think I'm somewhat stuck in between sizes - my best fitting/favorite shirt is a New England Shirt Company in their house cut medium Extra trim (I'm guessing you're somewhat familiar with their cuts?). It measures 21 across the chest w/ 18 in the shoulders and it has rear side pleats. This round of fabrics was just too good to pass up and as I am not too familiar with the fit of a center box pleat vs rear side pleat I'm unsure how much extra space I should expect from them. In other words, I'm not sure if I should go with the medium or the large, I'm worried the large might be too big in the shoulders and midsection while the medium would be too tight in the chest. With a chest measurement on the shirt of 20 inches, is this a relaxed measurement from seam to seam or is it side to side measurement that is pulled tightly in order to take in account the extra room provided via the pleat? Thanks!

I know the feeling, but, once I take off the denial blinders, it was definitely me expanding... :D

I think I'm waiting for two, but one is a remake that I bought because I managed to screw up some of the details submitting.  Luckily, its such a cool fabric that the extra jacket is welcome. :D

I've been too busy to go over all my records and sort everything out, so I might only be waiting for the one.  I know from UPS notifications that at least one is currently in the mail making its way over to me.

I'm pretty sure the chest is measured with the garment laid flat, seam to seam, and not side to side.

I ended up ordering one size larger (LG) than what I normally go for in other brands (mostly MD). Comparing Epaulet's measurements, LG matched most of what I had in my closet. This will be my 2nd Epaulet shirt (first one was a popover and I got a MD, I think the popover pattern is sized a little larger - measurements seem to match a LG button down) so I hope I sized correctly, but hope this helps!
