A Taylor cord. That is interesting. I couldn't pull it off though.

I doubt it's an option -- it's not listed anyway, and I think it's with a different manufacturer -- was just thinking about the shape. Could just get the Walt and have my tailor taper them a bit.

I imagine it's personal preference on the rise but I was wondering if these cords should have a bigger taper or not.

Thanks

It really comes down to your style, though -- I have the aluminum cotton-cashmere in Driggs and they are great (except for the low rise).

Mike, I know you've said that the moleskins are too thick for side tabs. Would you say the same about any of the new fall fabrics?

I'm getting a Walt. I think these variegated fabrics benefit from the higher rise and ever so slightly wider leg opening. It's a bigger canvas, metaphorically speaking, on which to display the amazing fabric. Additionally, I think the slim-but-not-super-slim pattern of the Walt is a better match for a medium wale cord than the Driggs. As I recall, the aluminum cotton-cashmere was a narrower wale, which makes more sense for a Driggs. And with the Walt, you can always get it tapered slightly later on.

If I looked good in pleats, though, I'd get it in a Gable.

I'm a Driggs guy for more casual pants. I also have fairly skinny legs, so I like the taper on the Driggs better even for these cords. Walt is still great though, especially for most of my work trousers.

I've never thought to ask this before when ordering, but can we have cuffs added to pants when ordering MTO using the comments section?

So slightly off-topic, but mike mentioned that we'd be seeing some new Aldens drop soon. Any chance the Indy makeup gets a restock?

Based on standing tradition of the past three years or so, no.

I don't think that this has changed recently.

^ Probably not a great idea anyway for a number of reasons regarding the inability to get the trousers hemmed by the factory to the precise length you will be happy with.

@Michigan Planner hey guys, sorry about that - was a mistake on our end. We can definitely take orders against khaki corduroy tweed, it's back in the dropdown

I was thinking corduroy but those camel moleskins are calling my name.

Does anyone have a shot of the camel moleskins or the 2253 color made up into a full pant? I'm wondering what moleskin looks like in general made up into a pant and also would like to see the camel color fully made up.

It's not the exact same fabric but here is an example of some tan moleskin walts

I apologize in advance for this question as I'm sure it's been answered several times in the past...This thread moves so fast it's difficult to keep up.

Is it possible to have the Gable's made with a specified leg opening/taper? It'd be great if I could have the opening narrowed from 8.25" to 7.5"

Hey Mike.

Does the 10% off on the Cord Tweeds occur upon checkout?

Thanks!

I'm not in position to take pics for a few days but the camel moleskin probably reads a little more golden than SVB's pair but you get the idea from those. Very warm and plush fabric.
