Epaulet shop - Official Affiliate thread - Page 372

Hey all, I have 3 pairs of Epaulet wool trousers (Birdseye, Windowpane, Super-120s) which are absolutely fantastic in material, construction, and fit. My preference is for wool pants without any rayon/acetate lining. Given the care put into making the pants, I'd appreciate any tips anyone has for how to remove the lining in the cleanest, least destructive way possible. Cheers, Simon

I just want to spend two words about epaulet webshop. from discovering it I often look at epaulet's website, i think it's one of the best because it's full of information/details about garments they sale. i don't find anything comparable anywhere in the web. The fit pictures even are so useful to understand how the shirt/trouser etc. etc. will be when you will wear it. Its own line has really a great taste and choice of specifications gotten for real world's guys experiences and necessities (at least mine ). Epaulet's costumers looks like being so happy about quality/fit of their purchases. Next time I'll come to New York, Epaulet will be my first "no matter what" destination.
Go on this way guys!!

Is there any chance of a restock of the women's colorblock shirt in XS? I was planning on getting it for my GF and just discovered it was sold out. Alas, I shouldn't have mentioned it to her first...

Mike, just wondering if the Desmond sportscoat will be getting a restock at some stage? No rush whatsoever as it'll be after summer before I'd be picking it up.

I reckon that now I'm in my 40s I should grow up and get my first ever sportscoat/blazer. Also, at least one of those lovely Donegal tweed Desmond's should be repatriated home to Ireland.

Thanks Max, it was great seeing you! Enjoy the pants!

Haha, that's funny. He must live somewhere on the LES - we've seen him out and about quite a few times. First purchase that he made at the store.

Hmmm. It should be pretty straightforward for a good tailor to take out the lining. It's anchored on the main seams, so they can probably take out the seams, remove the liner, and stitch it all up. I'd definitely advise getting it done by a professional.

Haha, we'll definitely be doing our part to support Ireland's Donegal tweed industry this Fall!

We'll do a beautiful Donegal tweed in our Southwick capsule line. Thick, canvassed, goat suede elbow patches, old school as hell. We'll run two Scottish Harris Tweeds too.

For the Desmond, I'm toying around with making it slightly more of an outwear piece. The Southwick jacket is going to be a straight-up sportcoat. I might tweak the Desmond to have buttoned patch pockets and a throat latch at the top. I'm going to run a sample and see how it comes out. I want to keep it's biz-caz versatility but make it distinct from the Southwick piece.

But yes, between jackets, overcoats, trousers, bags, hats, and probably some neckwear, we'll be nearly drowning in tweed this Fall. Man, I can't wait!

This pic by Faketrain from the sales thread pushed me over the edge on the Gant madras. Hope it fits well.

Would anyone who owns both the Heavyweight Stone & Golden Khaki chinos (i'm sure there's heaps of you) be able to post some side by side comparison shots? Got my golden khaki's today and although I love them they are a little bit... 'browner' than I thought they'd be. I was thinking they'd be more of a golden/yellow/mustard sort of colour. Wondering if I should pick up the Heavyweight Stones too when they come back in stock in my size, or if the colours are a bit too similar to bother. Thanks

If I'm not mistaken, the stones are going to be released in the 8oz weight.

Great news on the Autumn/Fall tweedfest. Both the tweaked Desmond and the Southwick sound good to me.

I just have the Golden khaki one, but I agree on the color. Would like to see some fit pics of how people are using the pants, as I am not finding them to be that versatile

So I bought a pair of the EP's Smith Kurabo Jeans in sz 32. I'm a little bit worried because straight out of the box they fit exactly how I want them too, and I'm afraid they'll be huge after stretching. Can anyone comment on how much I can expect these to stretch?

Very little.
