@Epaulet totally agree. I'm back and forth between teak trim and ecru sole and stingray trim and grey sole
@rydenfan both of those would be rad! I've got the Photoshop files, so I can do some mockups for anyone if you guys want.
@velomane ah, very cool! I have no such excuse, it's just my favorite model.
Picked up the white and light blue Somelos shirts, and the olive ripstop and blue steel chinos. Figured it made more sense to get some off-the-rack stuff from Epaulet before spending so much on the MTM stuff. Speaking of which, when do the fall EFF begin?
I'm a big fan of all of the pieces (and I'll be picking up more Somelos shirts!), but I have an issue with the blue steel chinos: is there material to let out the thighs at all? The fit of the ripstop is absolutely fine, but the blue steel is far too tight in the thighs and seat; I'm actually afraid it'll split if I crouch down.
@SteveL91 the oxford cloth is a little more taut, but we were getting the same measurements on both fabrics. We can trade you out for one size up, which is always nice for a true warm-weather pant like this. It's no problem if you took off the tag, we can do the exchange without a problem as long as it's unworn.
@Epaulet I wear a 10.5 4E in New Balance SL-1 last (have to size up to 11 4E on other NB lasts), and a 9 EEE in Alden Trubalance, so understandably I'm a little terrified of preordering sneakers without trying them on. I suppose I'll have to get down to Los Angeles at some point.
@cyclohexane yeah, I'd agree, I think that these won't be wide enough. We'll find some other stuff for you soon though :-)
Wondering about this as well. I have a pair of oxford cloth rivets from a few years back that have just been laying around since they're so much tighter than all my other rivets. Maybe it's something to do with the oxford?
All the shrivet talk has me thinking about turning them into shorts but if they're tight as pants I imagine they're way too tight for shorts.
@tizim the new Oxford Rivets are made a lot differently than the old ones - we have an entirely new pattern and factory, so the new ones might work for you. But yeah, if they're too tight as full pants, then they probably won't work as shorts either.
