Now if we can only get it with an elastic waist band and knit fabric I think we'd have a winner wink.gif

Similar? No, it's identical.

But that's cool.

I don't really know the point you're trying to make. We're not copying eidos. Nor did eidos invent that collar. Fashion comes and goes is the point. Mike put in a pretty good amount of effort to make the Dickie greenleaf shirt for me. It worked. Also, this collar is from the individualized offerings. It's been available for a long time. I'm just happy Mike and Epaulet could deliver.

No point.

Sorry if I came off as ranting.

Just an observation.

Shirt looks great.

haha, I'm officially out of the watch game and in the leasing-a-crossover-SUV and paying-for-preschool game. But that YG GMT is my absolutely favorite, I wear it a lot. The shape is classic but the yellow gold is kind of garish. And I'm personally a mixture of classic and garish, so this all works.

I hope the lost luggage thing works out too. Would suck to lose two unworn EFF jackets. biggrin.gif

I never had anything remotely that expensive when I did watches, and I've been wearing the Apple Watch ever since receiving it as a present about a year ago.

I do want another diver or diver-style though. Wrecked my diver two years ago in the Pacific ocean while rock-picking and miss the style. At the moment, I'm leaning towards the Seiko turtle reissues even though the movement is not as nice as what I was wearing before.

Any word on the group buy sneakers from March?

You can expect more give on a blake stitch than you would get on a goodyear welt. That's often the case for me in our sneakers - I wear them at the onset with a very thin sock and then with normal socks after a week or so. If they fit comfortably with a liner sock then you'll be good to go after a bit of wear. Enjoy that color - I love these for the Summer!

Thanks! My feet is wide so I usually wear 8E but for shoes with a Medium width, I size up by half. I think the length is fine but I feel some tension in the vamp area. I was thinking about sizing up to a size 9 but would that make the shoe too long in the length?

New Yawker, does that collar come with a top button? Collar stays or no?

Agree with you on Eidos. There is nothing that brand does that is original or particularly interesting.

This particular collar does not button to the top as it is actually a woman's shirt collar. Also no collar stays:

But I think it shows that it can clearly be worn as a very summer casual men's shirt. People know I love Mike and Epaulet. They just do some things way better than other companies. That includes customer service, trousers, shirts, etc. I don't have anything against eidos, I own their stuff as well. But let's chill when it comes to menswear loyalty. Rant over.

My guess is no collar stays.

My guess is there is a top button but it's like an appendix.

Does anyone else love it when the shirts they order wind up on the site as example pictures?

Never a dull moment.

Man that stinks...

One difference between the Amanda collar and others is that the Amanda is multi-piece and some of the others mentioned (incl. Eidos' lupo and Dickie collar) are single piece. Not a deal breaker/maker for me either way, just thought I'd point it out.

Very impressed that IS was willing to slap a woman's collar on a man's shirt AND scaled it properly. Looks great

That Amanda collar looks good. They put a black linen shirt through for me with that collar. Can't wait to see it.

Managed to locate and retrieve my suitcase, though of course the rest of the trip is t-shirt and shorts kinds of things. biggrin.gif

I flew from SFO to Chicago MDW early yesterday morning; somehow my bag with the two new Epaulet Southwick jackets (keeping it relevant to the thread) ended up in LAX (and it was tagged for a completely different flight and passenger too). MDW baggage office says no problem, they'll request the bag from LAX and it'll arrive at the office at about 2 am, and they'll be in touch with at 8 am to get it to me either via delivery or I can go pick it up.

Side note, there was a guy in there at the same time as me making a claim for a destroyed drum set or something... Ouch!

No word in the morning so I call; customer service figures out the bag is still in LA. The bag gets put on a flight that goes to Salt Lake City and then MDW. Should arrive at 7:30 pm so we can pick it up after dinner.

Called customer service to confirm and their system shows it as having arrived, but they contact MDW to make sure the bag is physically there; MDW responds that it should be there but they haven't had a chance to physically verify / they're overwhelmed.

My cousin and I get there, and there's a line out the door of people who have come in from LAX today (ha) who can't find their bags. Baggage office has no idea where my bag is either... Luckily, my cousin spots the bag sitting on a cart of unclaimed bags being pushed by an employee, and all ended well.

Also, we overheard the service agents on the phone telling someone that deliveries of found luggage is potentially backed up until Wednesday... The joys of holiday weekend traveling.

Glad to hear they found your suitcase! Thats always my biggest fear when travelling. Hopefully they get it to you soon.
