Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Is it? I'm just as guilty as you then, and this combo makes one hell of a case to re-write that rule

I think it just looks out of place with a suit and tie. BD collar and a jacket with no tie is fine! Looks really good on you too.

Agreed smile.gif I pretty much always combine the two.

Yeah disagree as well. If the BD has a substantial enough collar, it looks great under a jacket. In fact, most of my BDs hold up better beneath the lapels than some of my point collars.

Wow, that steamed milk video is insane.

Mike's fabric names are always clever and amusing, but I thought what? Steamed milk? How is that a colour?

But the video shows just how perfect a name it is! Too bad I'm on a 'no don't even think about buying anything' spell smile.gif

I guess you are right.

I did a little research, and my statement may have been based on some SF misinformation.

Apparently the BD + Blazer is acceptable, but not a suit.

Marginally ok with a tie, depending on the formality of the tie.

Thank you sir!

IDK BD with blazer/odd jacket seems fine to me. Maybe it used to be too casual of a shirt for a jacket? But come on these days... You are wearing a collared shirt? A jacket? What are you? Meeting the Queen? Paging @eljlakers... wink.gif

Meh, you live in the US. A BD with a suit is sort of a US traditional quirk, and it's loads better than what most people wear anyways.

People wearing a BD with a jacket on a regular basis are probably less than 5% of the population. People wearing well-fitting BDs and jackets, a tiny fraction of that. But in this case it's good to be in the 1%!

I wear button downs with suits and ties nine times out of ten, especially with tweed, heavy flannel, linen... basically any suit material that has some actual texture and character. With the odd jacket I always wear a button down, with or without a tie.

@epaulet Any restock expected on some of the stock walts, other than the new portugal suiting? Need some navy and grey trousers and my size is fairly sold through

@FrankCowperwood That fit is so good it hurts.  Love the pants with a bit of savoir flare :fistbump:

@Epaulet,

A couple questions about the incoming Portuguese suit separates:

1)  Do you know the hip measurement for Walt and Rudy?  I typically take a 35 in Rudy, and take the waist in about an inch.  I suspect with these Walts, I'd have to size up to a 36 and take the waist in two inches or more, which could make for strange-looking pocket placement.  A 35 could work with alterations to the seat and thigh, but I'd rather avoid those.

2)  What tone of grey will be stocked?

@Epaulet, do I remember seeing a mention of women's trainers coming this week?
