I had an awful customer service experience with Left Field. I was looking for a pair of pants a few years back and gave them a call. They suggested I order two pairs to dial in sizing. I then went to return the pair that didn't fit and they told me I purchased them at a sale price and they could not be returned! This was despite them recommending me to do so, and also the product items not showing that the price was a sale price. There was no line through it, mark down etc, absolutely zero visual cue the price I was paying wasn't the original price. Total scumbags IMO

did you call or email with Christian? i've always had great service with him and Left Field, your experience seems uncharacteristic.

I did. More than enough Left Field talk in an EP thread IMO

:brick: If anyone ordered a pair of unfinished horsehide tennis trainer in US8 and decided not to keep it, let me know!

Yes, believe USPS. I seem to have awful luck with them. Shows label created yesterday but still no movement. Plus they turn NYC > Boston into a 3 day affair. No worries though, I'm sure by middle of next week they'll be here abd I'm sure I have a pair or two of footwear to tide me over till then

@rydenfan ah yeah, I saw your box getting packed yesterday. The boots came a few hours after our USPS pickup, so it didn't actually get to USPS until this afternoon. I'd say Monday is probably realistic

I'm interested in some shoes (not Alden) and does Epaulet have a discount code for SF?

I am also interested in some shoes (not Alden) and am very curious if there were any new samples in that Portugal shipment that just came in... :hide:

Oh hello there!

These are insane nice! The horsehide is so soft too!

#currentmood

Sidenote: I like the small detail of the photo of the shoe on the shoebox, well thought out.

@Epaulet Will I be able to expect any stretch in the vamp or much compression of the insoles? They're snug across the ball of my foot. I tried them on barefoot last night for a minute and they were tight even without socks. Trying to figure what to expect before wearing them. Also to be fair, last night when i tried them on was after a 6 mile run in the 90 heat so some swelling in my feet could have been present. Im definitely going to try them again, just curious how "give" I can expect out of the hide.

Also, these things smell absolutely terrific! <-- is that weird?

So I have the high top bball sneakers and they were snug beyond belief. After wearing them for a couple hours they felt extremely comfortable. My horsehide trainers though were comfortable and slightly roomy so I dont know if they will stretch out at all or not.

Maybe it's just me but I've reached a point in life where if a shoe doesn't feel comfortable out of the box I'm not keeping them.

These days I'd even prefer a touch bigger if I'm between sizes and adding a thin insole if needed.

Yes I realize this is likely a sign I'm getting old.
