Haha same here. I have so many of their shorts and 5$ tank tops. Perfect for summer days with the kids when your clothes take a beating.

Got caught in the rain today.

Brick red micro-gingham Individualized: British spread cutaway collar, two-button cuffs.

Tie is from the EP sale section. Tie clip is vintage.

Navy cavalry twill suit from the earlier Southwick EFF. 3-roll-2, tan horn buttons.

Raincoat is a Burberry Prosum seasonal item I bought from soemeone's closet clearing sale or clothing reseller... Tags were still attached.

Shoes are Alden color 8 cap toes from TSM.

It feels very soft and pleasant; I guess maybe the word is luxurious?  Feels like a cheaper fashion brand's "cashmere blend wool".  :D

There's a visible twill pattern that's pretty cool if you look closely too, but it didn't come out too well in the phone snaps.

Just wanted to say that I enjoyed meeting Mike and Adele (@Epaulet) and Travis (@newyorker) yesterday.  Travis is one sharply dressed dude and was kind enough to provide me with a few excellent recommendations for whiskey bars.  Wish I could have stayed longer.

What's going on with the Chelsea boots? Any update?

Email said should be arriving to NYC next week.

I'm also very interested in the EP slip on...think I missed it on the thread here, but if I picture I remember is right, they look bomb.

Team Mocha

Realizing how much I love dark brown shoes (casual and dress). I know this is nothing groundbreaking. But the amount of dudes I see wearing turrible cognac colored shoes...Likd for every pair of whisky or raveling, there are 100 cheapo Aldo shoes that barely cost less than EPs. It's laughable.

That's all well and good--and that's a great looking shoe.  But Team Saddle still won that fight by KO. ;)

@acw816 they're already in the States now, just waiting for them to clear customs. We'll do a big newsletter once they come in.

@KPDarb we changed belt vendors in Portugal and are now making them at the same place as the Saffiano bags. We should get them in about a month - along with the suede and unfinished horse preorder belts.

@mr.invincible ah, we do sell them - we actually sell them a little bit too well. They've been out of stock for a few months. But we've got 36 pairs being delivered this week, so it won't be long now.

Agreed. In particular I'm interested in a few things: first, how an unlined jacket would feel against a T-shirt. Would the fabric be itchy against bare skin, or not?

And second, how well would it wear in the dog days of summer? It it more suited to transitional weather, or can it hang in July and August? I can't tell from the video because the weave seems very open but the fabric seems substantial. And the non-linen components of the linen blend would matter too, I think.

@Epaulet Thanks Mike!

@applky

Well, you wouldn't be the first guy to wear an unlined jacket with a t-shirt...

In all seriousness, I don't think that you'd have a problem at all. I've worn pure linen jackets with knits without a problem. your sleeves are lined, and that's often the most important point.

It appears that the exact fabric content is lost to the sands of time. It was a true end, and SW no longer has the detail info save the country of manufacture. To my hand it felt like a linen-wool blend - maybe with a touch of silk. I think that it's very wearable as a Spring to Early Fall piece. The weave gives off a tweed-ish vibe. Style-wise I wouldn't have a problem wearing this in November.

The Jodhpurs are excellent. I think a saffiano model would be sick. On the GMTO and exotic MTO program I think it would be nice if a factory topy could be an option to select.
The PTB is also very nice. Not sure about the wild leathers in terms of horsehide, but very versatile be lots of options to market.
Dainite is a plus and I agree on the comments to sew the dainite through or at least the toe ala Vass.
Hopefully these don't have large heels or high insteps.

Looking forward to the Chelsea boot too.

If the finishing is on par with "midrange" footwear than I would consider buying several.

Great job all around!

@CanadaCal thanks for all of the feedback!

Quick pic from the store on Saturday. Here's me and @NewYawker - the "King of the Gable Trouser"

On me: Secret new sportcoat, Individuaized Chambray Oxford, Taylor Military Twill Trouser, Shell Cordovan Sport Trainer

On him: Formosa jacket, Individualized shirt, Gable trouser, and an ass-kicking tie and pair of shoes where I'm not sure of the brand.

Hey Mike @Epaulet-

Could you talk a little bit about these guys:

http://epauletnewyork.com/collections/bottoms/products/slim-walt-trouser-sunset-wool-pique

I feel like they have never come up here and the description is pretty generic. What is this fabric like? More hopsack-y or closer to a super 100s?

Fantastic color, regardless.
post #53759 of 57685

@FLW

Ah yeah, you're right - that description is pretty vague.

It's a great fabric - and something that we offered before as an EFF option. It's a pique tropical wool, so it has texture like a hopsack but weight and hand like a Super 120s. The big story is that sunset color - it's a gorgeous reddish-tan that's a great match to a navy jacket. I feel like it would be up your alley.
