Love the barley and rye madras -- I had to go upstairs and admire mine after seeing your photo. You've also just sold me on the grey check fabric, as I've been going back and forth on that one. So thanks. smile.gif

Also, what's the difference between the wide spread and the artisan collars?

I was originally going to post this for anyone considering the sky blue doeskin, but now with the Mexican blanket fabric...

Here's an image of my dad and grandmother shot by a friend of mine.  Grandma's got a jacket which I believe is literally made from a blanket fabric.  The wheels in my head are already spinning for an unstructured sport coat in the Mexican blanket fabric Mike posted above.

My dad is sporting a vintage sky blue suit in some kind of blended tropical wool; from what I could see from the video of the Nantucket Red doeskin, the texture is similar but my dad's fabric has quite a bit of slub going on that isn't present in the doeskin availble from this EFF.

White MOP buttons, of course!

Unfortunately, he forgot where he put away the vintage pebble grain Florsheim LWB from the 70's that I found NOS for him.  He still wore his EP pebble grain belt though (not visible in picture).

This is awesome!

I always enjoy seeing pictures of the older generations of people's family having fun and looking stylish, whether it's in current pictures or older pictures.

I would really love it if there was a gallery of fully made shirts with each collar shown. It's hard to tell what a collar will look like from that drawn picture.

They grey check is so great that I'm seriously considering getting the light blue version as well even though it's hard to justify getting two shirts in the a pattern that I think is relatively distinctive.

And yeah, the barley and rye is one of the best madras I've ever seen. Looking at it now, I'm considering having my tailor swap out the buttons for some resin horn. Might be a nice touch.

@Epaulet - Regarding the comment about a gallery of all the collars, have you considered setting up a gallery where customers could upload pictures? It's not really fair to expect you guys to shoot so many custom orders before shipping them out, but if there was something set up where people could send in their own shots and answer just a couple basic questions (collar type, lined/unlined, fabric, etc), that might be really helpful.

@cyclohexane oh nice! Great lighting setup there. And I'll have to mention @no frills here - he's a bit Noctilux enthusiast too!

I owned a M240 for a little bit, but it turns out that I'm horrible with manual focus. I really enjoying shooting the Leica Q though.

What were the Nick Kroll collab. sneakers you mentioned a few days back?  Has there been any info/pics regarding those?  I don't remember ever hearing about them.  My interest is piqued.

@Medoc arriving very soon - they're coming with my huge-ass shipment which should be leaving any day. They're a bit of a surprise, but I'll just say that he's a Yankees fan.

@Duke Silver great choices on those three! Agreed, the grey check yarn is really nice

@ahjota the Artisan has longer points and a higher collar stand.. but they're pretty similar

These are both great ideas. I'm putting in a massive new sample order with Individualized, and part of it will be to make up full shirts with each of the collars. So that we can photograph all of the most popular ones and really show the differences. I'll do those shirts in the same fabric so that there's consistency.

Doing a crowd-source gallery is a good idea. I've actually been speaking with them about doing a monthly Instagram contest. We'd give away a free MTO shirt each month to encourage guys to enter, and it would be a fun way to create more of a community around the Individualized & Epaulet program. Maybe asking for the collar and fabric name in each entry would work - and then my guys can pull down those images and host them on our site as kind of an ongoing lookbook.

Great idea! I would absolutely post pics of every Individualized shirt I got for the opportunity to get a free one haha.

And the photo on top? The new Leica SL Typ 601 + 24-90mm f/2.8-4.0 ?

Thanks for the shout out @Epaulet - I mentioned that this friend of mine might drop by the LES shop yesterday. Did he make it?

Can't wait for my new sport trainers to arrive!

Specs are Leica M-P typ 240 Safari Edition on my friend as he took my silver chrome Noctilux 50mm f/0.95 ASPH out for a spin.  I took the photo with my SL Typ 601 + 24-90 f/2.8-4.0. So meta!

@Epaulet I just want to make sure, if the fabrics are still showing in the drop down for the EFF it would mean there is still material available, correct?
Edit: nevermind I bought it lol

Also what is the collection impression upon such a jacket as the screen cap below?

Except for the size, that is EXACTLY the way I'll be ordering it.
Ill most likely be getting the Walt's as well for the suit.

Sadly I'm getting a message upon trying to check out stating the material is sold out.
I wish you better luck than I'm having (although I'll be a little bummed)

Don't be bummed

I just this second placed my order for the suit and the order went through. As a matter of fact, the inventory was at 5

before I placed my order...After my order inventory was at 4.

I was having issues with my cart as well so try again. Methinks you'll get it.

My late grandfather's Leica M3 is still floating around among the family, so it was one of the first "real cameras" I had used, so I guess I'm a little more comfortable with the rangefinder.

I think I practiced religiously with a Leica M4-P (no film inside) with some objects laid out in front of the TV for months to see if I could get on with the rangefinder before I moved our Leica M stuff to the digital era.

The f/1.0 Noctilux is particularly tricky because its plane of focus is not linear but instead curved in the middle.  Also, it is one of the lenses that exhibits focus shift as you change the aperture, so there's a dead zone between f/2 and f/8 where the rangefinder doesn't correspond with what's actually in focus, though I can usually get away with f/2.8 if the subject isn't too close to the camera.

A little bit of #cameraception going on there.  The chrome Noctilux looks sharp on the Safari edition!

That's a Leica S2 with 45mm f/2.8 CS lens.  I don't have the SL.

My S 006 is at the Leica spa in Germany for a new lens mount (it had worn to the point where it would slip enough to no longer make contact with the lens contacts), and I bought my S 006 during the period where the warranty included a loaner program, so that S2 camera body actually belongs to Leica.

A good friend of mine was actually working in Los Angeles for a while as a rep for Leica handling the S and SL systems, but when layoffs came around, he was the newest guy hired....
