On the upside, USAA is a great bank. And Vass shoes are awesome.

Quoted for the awesomeness that is USAA! I've been using them for my insurance for nearly 20 years now and refuse to even consider other companies. They have gone above and beyond what they have been required to for me. Definitely one of the best perks of being a veteran (or family member of one).

To bring this back to the clothing discussion... @Epaulet - Any word on the #8 Alt Wien boots that were pre-ordered in early 2015?

How do people size their EPNY/Southwick suits vs Suitsupply, if anyone has comparisons? I wear a 38 in SuitSupply (all of the fits), which lines up closer to a 39 or 40 for Epaulet, but a medium in shirts which would suggest a 38.

Hey guys!

We're getting everything prepped, it's going to be a little bit later than usual. Probably about 2pm est for a start time. I'll keep you updated

Go off the measurements.  I tried a 38 Southwick and it find its a trim 38, would have to open the waist an inch.  No big deal.   Trimmer than a SS Hudson in 38.

Its really a flattering cut.  I would say if you look in between sizes go up if anything.  Its nice that Southwick has 37, 39, 41 etc...  Fit the shoulders and chest obviously.

Thanks, I just hesitate whenever I see sizing deviate so much from all other brands. For reference, Suit Supply has their size 38 formally listed at a 41.7" chest, 17.7" shoulder and 33.7" sleeve, and I find that to be about right if slightly on the slim side. By EPNY listings, that would mean I should order a size 41 I think, with the sleeves shortened by an inch, which is far enough away from anything else I've ordered that it makes me hesitate (I'm not that broad, and I wear a size 31 on the EFF rivets, spot-on).

Edit: Ah well, I'm just gonna put in my orders online (in case there are hot fabrics) and then head into the city to get measured at Orchard Street this evening.

yup, but this round is based way more on suiting and less on sportcoats. I have all sorts of awesome fabrics, including an insane 150s pearl grey wool. This is the best pricing on Southwick MTO suits in easy solids that the world has ever known.

Question for you guys - they've got some ends on Harris Tweeds and other crazy Fall goods, would you guys want to see them? Not sure if its worth shooting & presenting them

Yes please on the Harris and fall goods!
Psyched for 2pm

I'm normally a 42L, which is what I wear in the Suitsupply Napoli.  In Southwick, I've gone 44L in order to get the shoulders right.  I love the jackets I've gotten through EFF, though I will say there's some pretty serious tailoring that needs to happen to make the rest of the jacket look right.  But of course YMMV with that.

Just goes to show how everyone's sizing is unique b/c of body shape and proportion. I am a 42R-L in most brands; in SuSu I'll take a 42R-L depending on the jacket in particular. In EP I can take down to a 41 and still be fit in the shoulders. I'm sure I have 40L jackets somewhere too that fit great.

I'm not familiar with Suit Supply, but most of Uniqlo's wool/wool+polyester blend actual suit jackets (not their myriad collection of odd jackets) in US XS/international S (marked 32-35) is pretty much an exact match for a 35 Extra Short in Epaulet's Southwick fit, if that helps any.
