I have a question that may have been answered before, and I just can't find it, so please forgive if this is redundant.

Does anyone know how the fit of Epaulet Taylor, and Gable compares to Bills Khakis M3 from the hips down?

Any new LBM 1911/Lubiam in the near future?

@Patrick R ah, we got those right before Christmas and shipped out everything on hand. Email us with your order details. If you happened to choose store pickup, then we should have them chilling out on the hold shelf. I think that one or two shirts were not able to be made, but we should have notified everyone that impacted.

@Desi Montez I haven't tried on the M3 in a very long time, but I feel that bottom leg is a lot wider on that. Here's a shot of someone we know and love from Google image search:

The Gable has much more taper than that, although the fit and size at the thighs may be similar given our single pleat. You have to like it stylistically, but we haven't had anyone where the taper of the Gable/Taylor leg was too tight or problematic.

@Mr Engineer yup, we'll have both off the rack and MTO Lubiam sportcoats. We can also do full suits via Made To Order. The Walt pattern is set up, and we can more or less do the Rudy.

We dropped LBM1911 a few seasons ago. I liked it, but our Vittiorio sartorial jackets just blew it away. Hard to sell someone a $700 cotton sportcoat when another $200 gets you into a perfectly fitted Loro Piana hopsack one.

Email sent. Thanks for looking into this.

Thanks for the response, I am considering the Taylor in seersucker, but I am a little concerned about the amount of taper, especially since MTOs are all sales final. Do you leave room for the pants to be let out at all?

@Desi Montez tell you what, drop an email to dylan[at]epauletnewyork.com and tell him your ideal leg opening on the trousers.

We specifically made the Taylor/Gable a tapered cut so that it would work like a Neopolitan trouser. But the starting shape was a much fuller Hertling trouser with a classic leg and the M3 and slightly deeper pleats. We can't tweak the Taylor from it's current specs, but we can absolutely order you an MTO pant in that other fit if it's going to work better for you. We'll be happy to look into it.

Fair, and I'm sure a good decision, but as a casual sportcoat they were kind of perfect.

First "New" Individualized item:

Hey guys,

Little bit of a revision to the Individualized schedule. The 15% off deal is going to start on Wednesday and run through the following Wednesday. We were waiting on pricing to come through on some exclusive fabrics.

This is a killer opportunity! It will probably be the only time this year that we can offer that blanket discount. February is really dead for MTO orders. August is as well, but the factory's on Summer break, so they're not looking to take on more work. This is the perfect storm - they want the work, they'll knock a good amount off of the price, and you'll get a pretty fast turnaround. We've been seeing recent orders back in 3-4 weeks.

Check out this link. It's our first revised item, which has all of our basic blue shirting options

It's got the new photo layout, bigger hi-res downloads (so you can really see the textures), and a monogram option.

We'd love to get as many new guys into the program as possible. If you've never owned an Epaulet shirt, then don't worry - we can work off the measurements of your favorite shirt. I'll post up the link with a quick measurement guide in time for the launch. Individualized is really the best bang for the buck in custom shirting, and none of their competitors can touch them for their variety of fabric options. If you haven't tried on yet, then definitely consider giving at least one unit a shot.

@Epaulet Mike: can Individualized do a popover shirt? Can we choose an unfused collar/cuffs?

@Don L awesome - I'm thrilled to hear that! We've been getting great feedback on them all around. I'm putting in a reorder shortly and developing a short in the same material. If we make a change or two, we can hit $95 on the shorts.

@FrankCowperwood we automatically order any buttondown collar shirts with the lightest lining on the collars and cuffs, but we can also spec that for any of their collars.

And yes, we can absolutely do a 3-button popover. The body is relaxed a touch at the waist so that you can get it on. There's no upcharge for that, and you can specify either of these things in the additional comments box.
