Five years ago, such a levelheaded question would have drawn pitchforks and mobs here on SF!

@chrispy650 it definitely looks slim -- slimmer than I like. The pulling on the bottom button is telling. If I were you, I'd take out the back darts. A very close look will probably reveal stitch lines once they're out, but on a pattern like that it'll likely be nigh impossible to see.

Just got back from a warm sandy beach where I wore my old Liberty chrysanthemum shirt almost every day. What a shirt!

Although I sat out on this..., the Southwick EFF has to be the best one yet.  Real great fabrics for and excellent deal.  Look forward to dropping by EP in May to be fitted.

Just picked up a pair of Taylors to try out the cut -- as well as some rivet chinos, since I haven't worn those in years.

Also, need to go pick up my Ironside Alt Wiens from the UPS customer center. UPS wanted someone here -- didn't help that I was out of town all last week!

Is the Taylor cut going to be offered with any dressier material?  How should we size compared to Walt?  I assume the same and then probably more aggresive taking in of the waistband?

^ Mike says it'll be available for MTO next month

@dalevy it's going to be part of the MTO program in Feb, so you'll be able to get the Taylor or Gable in any of our available fabrics.

@Todd V man, the last minute suit orders are coming in fast and furious today! We can accept MTO's until midnight give or take. I have to send all of the orders to Southwick first thing in the morning - at least to reserve the fabric.

If anyone wants to buy their suits/jackets now and needs more time for sizing, we can always submit the order with details by the end of next week.

And we'll look to launch a small selection of the fabrics for Walt/Rudy MTO's on Friday. They won't be cheap - about $250 - $265, so it only really makes sense for the higher end fabrics which would usually be really expensive. Stuff like Harris Tweed and that E.Thomas Charcoal suiting.

Which BTW, if anyone needs a charcoal suit, this is seriously boss fabric. Would be about $1600 for a suit thru Southwick's usual MTO pricing. We can cut four more orders in it:

Can't see a lot, but Donegal tweed overshirt here as a mid layer, under a CPO jacket and over a button up shirt. Does this work ok?

Not pictured, EP CXL casual belt, espresso Rudys, and Nat CXL Carmina shortwings...

Now you're making me feel like I should order a second one as a backup as it would basically be 2-for-1. This is like a real-life version of a Jos. A Bank deal.

@EP Sam talked me into the Loro Piana navy windowpane SC since the navy fresco sold out. Definitely looking forward to this one, fabric looks amazing. I didn't even see it originally because I was only looking at the lightweight fabrics, but I'm glad I got in on this before the promotion ended.

Question - I may have missed the conversation happening when the Southwick EFF first launched last week, but are the lapels slightly wider on this new shape? How big would it be on a 42 x-long? Around 3.5" maybe?

Mike said approx. 0.5" wider, so if you have one of the older ones you can work out what that will mean.

I also get the impression that lapel width was standardized across sizes, but maybe there is some variation on the extreme ends. I seem to recall my lapels measuring 2.75" on my size 34s and that being the same for the larger sizes as well. Hopefully Mike can chime in and let us know.

Has anyone seen the HT Toasty in person? How does it read?

I think that fabric is going to make a really fantastic suit - highly versatile without being plain. A really great choice
