I typically order a 41 in your Southwick jackets and just have my tailor let out the waist area a little bit. Would you recommend the same size in a DB jacket? I'll probably go with the partial lining if that matters.

@Michigan Planner yup, I'd say the same size. And if anything, both the DB shape and the thicker cotton means that this will make up slightly larger than our standard jacket, so it will probably fit you better right off the bat

Now, an Olive Moleskin suit is something I get behind. I'd call this my Saturday Suit.

Mike @Epaulet, would you say the gunmetal cross hatch is medium or dark grey? Close to the grey hopsack that you carry in terms of colour?

ANd speaking of the gunmetal--that wouldn't happen to be the same Antique Grey Cross-Hatch Tropical Wool from the EFF trouser event form last March, would it?

Yes! I'm a proponent of the gentle fade! I think washing to start is the right step. Then regular washing thereafter. How long they stay dark indigo will depend on how much washing I think. I think they will eventually end up a more even medium to light blue. Of course, the state of having far too many jeans/trousers means that I can't say I've seen this in practice yet.

And speaking of too many trousers, I just ordered the Taylors.

And that linen madras EFF jacket looks fantastic. Thinking about that one...

Do it!  A seriously boss look with either choice.

Meanwhile, I'm digging the Linen Madras Check.  Pants would be surprisingly versatile.

Taylor = causal version of Gable?

Schott car coat, tan moleskin Walts, and cowhide Calgary bluchers:

Decided on the charcoal hopsack for my Ends purchase, as while I was seriously tempted by a number of the tweeds, I had to remind myself that it's January in an El Niño year and it isn't actually like this 90% of the time in LA. I really hope someone gets that Orange Julius tweed as a full suit and posts pictures though.

@epaulet

Mike, saw that the Glaswegian Tattersall is sold out. Probably out of luck, but any chance of any more of that fabric turning up for that jacket I had my eye on?

I would like to see the Taylor in dress fabrics. For me, I think the Gable rise is too high. The slightly lower rise on the Taylor might be just right for me but I lean toward fabrics like fresco / hopsack and flannel.

Took another look and saw that the Taylor has loops. I guess my dream version of a highrise pant would be the Taylor w/ side adjusters. Oh well.

The Taylor pant looks incredible. I too prefer the rise of the Taylor over the Gable and I like the fact the Taylor has belt loops. It would be great if the Taylor is available in wool.

I would definitely kop the Taylor chino as well but the Canadian dollar is awful. Can't justify $300 for a cotton pant frown.gif.

Well done on the Taylor though. Please also bring out more colors for Taylor chinos.

And dang...are pleats back in style?

@zinc2162 it's more of a medium grey than a dark grey. It's really beautiful - I haven't seen anything like it.

@sjmin209 it's similar, I can't say if it's the same though. Definitely in the same family.

@FrankCowperwood thank you sir! I thought that the Taylor would be right up your alley.

@lifeinabox that Linen Madras is beautiful - I actually saw it made up in a jacket about a year ago. It's a killer fabric.

@rydenfan exactly! It's that old-school high waist chino.

@bearspoke sorry man, it's all gone. It had a good run though - the last unit just sold out a few hours ago.

Getting down to the last pieces on Boggy Tonal Prince of Wales and Raiders Herringbone. If anyone is thinking of those, I'd grab them today if possible. Lots of stock on the solid Olive Marl and the Black Herringbone, so no rush there. Those will probably get offered as separate trousers after the promo ends.

@Salad

Thanks for posting this, I'm getting a ton of emails on these high-rise trousers, it's cool that people are really excited about them!

We're going to offer this overall shape (high-waist single pleat) as part of our MTO service starting next month. You'll be able to choose:

Low Waistband with button-thru, extended tab, or no extension

High Waistband with Long Extension (like the current Gable)

The Low Waistband can be done with side tabs or belt loops - or nothing. The High Waistband was made specifically for the Gable, so it cannot be changed.

But you'll absolutely be able to order these in any wools, linens, or cottons that we have.

@clarksdb pleats are happening! Check the top reply about MTO options on these.

One thing to point out - we're going to change up how we stock trousers. Our MTO business blew up in 2015 and we're going to concentrate on building out more options for your guys. More shapes, more choices, more fabrics.

Conversely, I'm going to reign in the breadth of our stock assortment. I don't need to have 30 units of Rust Steep Twill Walts and be sold out of Khaki Canvas Rivet Chinos. We're going to concentrate on keeping basics in stock at all times, and run a couple of special things each season. But most of the variety will be available by special order. The Taylor shape works brilliantly with this Japanese Military Twill, but these are probably going to be the only cotton Taylors that we stock this year.

Any update on the last EFF trousers run? I recall they were shooting for completion today.
