@Epaulet
How would you say sizing on the combat boot compares to Barrie-lasted shoes/boots?

@turkey_sandwich Most guys would go up a half size, as the Combat Boot and PTB are pretty TTS. So get a 10.5 Combat if you wear a 10D in Barrie/Tru-Balance.

The last is very much a medium. It may work for someone who wears a wide in the slim-ish dress shoe (think a basic balmoral straight tip), but if you wear a "E" in Barrie or Tru-Balance then it's probably going to be more narrow than you'd like.

Great. Thank you for the quick reply!

Wow these combat boots look amazing. The stock photos had a different look a feel.

Unfortunately I have two pairs en route from @epaulet but these are now on the list. Scotch grain calf would be cool to make them resistant to inclement weather.

The stingrays I just can't say enough about. Not sure how much wear they'd get compared to my other EP sneakers but I feel I must have them haha.

How do you guys wash your heirloom cardigans? I feel like mine needs a wash soon but it says to hand wash with no detergent. Just seeing what's the best way to wash it.

Interested too though I hoped to never have to smile.gif

I asked the guys at Epaulet regarding the Heirloom and the ones I talked to dry clean them

@NewYawker Dude. That jacket is a perfect fit on you. Really glad that you're enjoying it!

And I know, sorry that I keep missing you. We're like two ships, passing in the night. That simply means that you need to come to karaoke with us the next time. And I have to say, Adele had a pretty awesome time with the Lower East Side Bro-Down that happened!

@Epaulet Yeah the jacket fit is spot on.  My first and last leather jacket.  Until you guys come out with something better.  And just busting your chops on not being at the shop.  If I had a beautiful little lady to take to gymboree i would not be talking shop with a bunch of clothing nerds either.  Ive heard of this karaoke a few times now.  I am definitely in.  Also, Adele is the best.  It was great meeting her and always nice seeing her in the shop.  Glad she had fun with the guys.

Damn, that black boot and stingray look awesome!  Don't think I can wait until April for the restock and may pull the trigger on the brown.  Agree that a scotch grain version would be a great bad weather alternative.

@Epaulet Mike, will the word "donegal" be making an appearance in tomorrow's sportcoat fabric lineup?

@tricky yeah, we definitely needed those new images to properly show them off.

And I have to say - you were born to wear the Stingray shoes. You'll absolutely love them! It's rad that you can wear them in rain too.

@chrispy650 there's a lot of advice online for hand-washing a thick knit sweater like the Heirloom. But I've personally went against their recommendation and just had mine dry cleaned. Came out just fine and it's a lot less work. I probably dry clean it twice a year, no ill effects yet, and I still have my original charcoal one from 2010.

@NewYawker Adele had a really boss time hanging out with everyone - she hasn't stopped talking about it yet. It seems like my plan to turn her into a mens clothing nerd is finally bearing fruit!

@lifeinabox you'll love the brown - it's really handsome in person. The color is really dark as well, so it's not that far off from the black, honestly. I really like the small contrast of the brown zipper tape on the instep.

@heldentenor hopefully! The promo is going to be on Tuesday at 11AM EST, but we'll be at the factory all day tomorrow to assess the available fabrics.

Oops--thanks for the clarification Mike.

For you guys on Instagram.....

I've been running the @epaulet Instagram personally since 2011 or so. As we've picked up more followers, it's become an increasingly crucial part of our marketing, and the workload's getting a little intense. So, I'm going to share the account with Dylan and Sam from here on in, and we're going to focus all of it on Epaulet stuff. Lots of product images, regrams, event announcements, pics from the stores, etc.

If you want to see what I'm personally up to, I set up a new account @mikekuhle

Last week I put a video of the "Thong Song" at Karaoke and lost about 100 followers. From now on I'll keep all of my "Thong Song" content to my personal account only. Just in case you needed more incentive to follow me there.
