I had a chance to feel the stingrays in person when I visited the LES and they're beyond bonkers.

Just a PSA, anyone sleeping on those donegal tweed LBM jackets should absolutely pick them up now.

I tried them on and sadly the fit just doesn't work for me, but the fabric easily rivals some of the best I've ever felt.

I can't imagine a better brunch or evening casual jacket given the super soft construction and liveliness of the donegal.

Just sold on the Stingrays.  When's the next pre-order?

The stingrays are beautiful. I know they are durable. Does any know how they crease compare to cordovan or CXl ?

On different note, I picked up a pair of speckled garands in a size too big for me since I love the fabric.. Debating getting them tapered or turning them into summer shorts. Thoughts? The deep blue contrast on the inside is awesome.

@MSchapiro I think that would work really well. Just note that things get tighter in the thigh when you cut it off into shorts. As long as you've got room in the legs, it should be no problem.

@clarksdb the Tennis High is a great shape, but honestly was pretty hard to sell. I'm going to keep it as a special order style, but we won't be restocking it in the foreseeable future.

That said, we'll get into the practice of doing at least one special order sneaker project per month. Some will be big ones (like the Unfinished Horsehide) and some small ones (Alabaster Calf Sport Trainers), but they'll be plenty of opportunity to get in on extended sizes or non-stock styles.

@PorterInjax - a blast from the past! How do they look so good for being 5 years old?

@lifeinabox got a restock on the books already.

AND I put in an order for the Combat in snuff suede, brass eyes, light sole edge. Had to do it. I didn't use a brass zipper - I just used the standard zipper with brown taping (like the Mocha boot).

We're pricing out special order combats in Shell Cordovan as we speak. Might be a dope option. Nothing quite like that on the market, and they can be resoled.

I have other Alden Indy Chromexcel boots but the color is very different. I highly recommend this edition boots to everyone. Congratulations Epaulet for a job well done! George

Jacket came out great. Leather quality and construction is top notch. Nice chatting with @bradp and @MSchapiro at the les shop. Also, do you even work anymore Mike? MIA every time I stop by brother.

@NewYawker Dude. That jacket is a perfect fit on you. Really glad that you're enjoying it!

And I know, sorry that I keep missing you. We're like two ships, passing in the night. That simply means that you need to come to karaoke with us the next time. And I have to say, Adele had a pretty awesome time with the Lower East Side Bro-Down that happened!

@SherifEnt that jacket fits you beautifully! I'm really glad that you're so pleased with it. Thanks again for ordering it with us, I know that the sizing was a leap of faith! Really happy that we nailed it.

Enjoy that fabric - it was my absolute favorite from their Fall book. One of the best gunchecks that I've ever seen.

@lifeinabox slated for February. I'm going to see if we can offer 1-2 more colors alongside black too. We're getting crazy good feedback on these, so I want to have some more options just in case dudes want more than one pair

This surprises me too. The white ones are a ridiculous no-brainer at this price. I'd buy a second pair if I wasn't trying to exercise restraint.

Right!? I got the white and would love a black pair if they had my size.

Same here. I thought it was the best shape of the 4 models. But that's good we can still get it on group buys. Would look dope in a suede or leather/suede combo

@tricky @CanadaCal Thanks guys - glad that you like it!

The Tennis High was actually the first shape that I designed, and I like it a lot too. I'm honestly not sure why it was so difficult. We actually sold the black calfskin model pretty well - although nothing compared to the low top. And I had to just learn the lesson not to make all-white high tops in really any shape.

We're going to release a ton of new footwear this year, so I'm just working to play into our strengths. The Combat Boot quickly became our fastest and best-selling boot of all time, so we'll invest more of our time building out that blake-stitch section of the business rather than trying to create a ton of new sneaker shapes. I'd rather take our existing shapes, maybe add a new design or two per season, and concentrate more on sourcing interesting leathers.

Yesterday was fun.  It's always great when a quick stop by the shop turns into hours of hanging out.  Cold Asahi doesn't hurt either :)

@bradp Agreed! And to that end, we're going to bring back the monthly event at our Manhattan store. But we'll make it purely social - just staying open an extra hour and breaking out the beer and drinks around 5PM.

COMBAT BOOT FIT PICS

By request... here's some fit pics of the Combat Boot in Mocha. Feedback on this style has been bananas - we sold something like 10 pairs in the two stores yesterday just on their own. The fit is really solid on them. We're getting busted up in sizes, but I've got a reorder for late April.
