I recall seeing a mid grey flannel, mid grey hopsack, steel blue, and that purple fabric.

That sounds like a "seat" alteration. Have the tailor let out the seat, and it should give you more room around the curve of your butt. This will, in turn, allow the pockets to lay flatter against your hips.

Those Gables seem absolutely fantastic.

As long as prohibition doesn't make a comeback too.

I don't think the Gable is for me. Looking forward to seeing all you guys fit pics

Im looking forward to seeing more pics of the Gable. I am short with a larger lower body, and this fit might be more flattering on me since it would elongate my legs.

How short?

I'm 5'8" with a long torso. My pants are typically hemmed to around 29 inches, but that depends on the pants as well.

I had the toughest time picking between the moleskin and the duck canvas. I ended up going with the latter, but the loden moleskin does look fantastic!

Yup, that's exactly what we have. Oxford Grey Flannel, REDA Medium Grey Hopsack, Dark Navy Marl Flannel, and Purple Haze Crosshatch Flannel

One lady I met with at a early morning breakfast liked it so much that she complimented me on it at our meeting and again over the telephone when she called me for something this afternoon. She's an architect specializing in historic preservation with an eye towards design so I'll take her compliments as a good one.

One of my favorite details of the suit are the gunmetal buttons. I had honestly forgotten that I chose them when I speced everything out and figured I had picked one of the horn options but I'm glad I got these ones.

@Michigan Planner this is great! We're thrilled that you're so pleased with the suit, and those buttons were a boss choice with the tweed

@lifeinabox haha! Alfani was my jam back in the days too. A perfect match to a nice pressed Club Room dress shirt

And this is staring at me from our living room mantle as I type this...

side note - @Epaulet - did I miss the contest rules for the unfinished HH?

@avsmusic1 we were planning to send the rules when all of the sneakers have shipped, but I tell ya - about 20% of the guys who ordered still haven't paid their balances. Not sure how to reach them actually. They don't seem to be on Styleforum, Reddit, or Instagram - and they probably used some kind of spam-alias email for the purchase. We've sent them a bunch of messages. Who are these mystery people!

Anyway, @EP Sam  is going to prepare the rules and be in touch soon. It's definitely time.

Adele and I went to the Rainbow Room at the top of Rockefeller Center last night. We had a great time and it was the Gable's maiden voyage for me. Not the greatest fit shot to show off how the pants look, but they're easily worn with a Vittorio sportcoat. They can definitely be as conservative a style as you need them to be.
