Thanks for sharing Don... I was kind of wondering what someone would pair with purple pants... :-) I want them, but not sure I can pull that look off...

The grape flannel in that picture almost look like a high blue.

I am giving my field coat a hot bath right now. Hopefully it shrinks up the sleeve and I dont need my tailor to do too much

I am more than ready to jump on the next HH pre-order. In size 10 this time, I learned my lesson!

But first I'd love to find a new owner for a pair of Tennis Trainers Low in US 10.5 http://www.styleforum.net/t/511965/epaulet-unfinished-horsehide-tennis-trainers-low-us10-5/0_50#post_8207704 . Please PM if interested. Sorry for posting in the thread!

Dubs, I've seen you rock many a kit with cool colors from Ep along with your ridiculously marvelous Aldens (lavender check walts in your stable, iirc, for example). I have every confidence you could rock the pale grapes.

Of course, if you come up with some cool combos, I'll steal your brilliant ideas when my pale grape walts come.

Or, if we're both out of ideas, we can always plagiarize some of DonL's killer style.

Always appreciating the creative kits everyone posts here. Keep up the good work, gents!

I realized what throws me off about the jacket - the pockets are off the centre so much they go under the arm. Or is it just cause of the pose?

Exagerated by the angle of the shot but they definitely do angle towards the underarm

Have the grape pants. They are awesome. Going to be meeting my wife and daughter in Chicago for the weekend and these will be in my luggage

Have a nice trip! Please share grape walt pics to help those of us who are less confident.

In other news, very excited to get UPS's notice of Gitman EFF Electric Youth Gauzy shirt arriving tomorrow :slayer:

Glad you like it, Mike. I'm in good company. Might make this weekend's PTO event at my kid's school the place for the Electric Youth's maiden voyage smile.gif

Finally picked up my Loden field jacket from the office after being out all last week. Mike delivered another winner. Fellow SoCal guys should not hesitate to kop the moleskin as it was perfect this evening in the low 60s. Minor nitpick is the armholes are a tad high but my pits settle in once worn.

for those who own tennis trainers

did it hurt the first time you walked in them? it kinda hurts near the toebox, where the toes bend, every time i take a stride. I assume it must be the stiff leather that needs to be broken into?

besides that, it is such an awesome shoe. i might need to pick up another one...
