Yes I do all the time. Sometimes w some trainers or just casual Alden's and a sweater. Also depends on the fabric.

@bkotsko That jacket color!

@tricky Love the light jacket, dark trousers, light boots. There are some MC purists out there somewhere sensing a disturbance in the force. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

More Heirloom sweater, with moleskin Walts, Milkshake Indies, and no viz EPLA western shirt.

If you only had one pair of navy Walts...would you get Hopsack or Super 120?

I only have one pair of navy Walts and got the Hopsack. I think the texture, while maybe not noticeable at first glance, is more visually appealing.

Hey Guys - I'll be posting a bit later to get to questions but in the meantime wanted to give you all a heads up about a few things:

Hertling Ends for Friends has been extended until midnight tonight!  We're also opening up another round of pre-orders for unfinished horsehide sneakers and for shell cordovan trainers for delivery in April-May 2016 :slayer:

Sam or @epaulet, I have these in 11.5. Should I go horsehide low tennis trainer in 11?

Mike you'll remember I agonized between 11 and 11.5 on the white pair.

I know there will still be a few questions that remain unanswered after I get through these - I'll be getting to them tomorrow.

Mike and I were actually talking about possibilities for next year's Northern Watters offerings earlier today :smarmy: I'm not sure if we can do a boat neck with them but we're working with them on some really boss new designs.  I'll raise the boat neck idea with Mike as well :thumbs-up:

We're eagerly awaiting another update from them!  Sorry for the delays on this guys, I know it's frustrating and we're pushing things along as quickly as we can.

The rest of the samples should go up tomorrow - sorry we couldn't get these up sooner!

I have worn the suit 4 times and I cannot count the number of times that someone has complimented the suit. The suit was a HOMERUN.  Again thank you

Our pleasure :bigstar: We've been really happy with the Southwick program - they've been lightning fast with production recently and, as always, the quality is phenomenal

For those who have it, what's the fabric like? Would the weight/hand/breathability work for the dog days of a hot, humid mid-Atlantic July?

EDIT: Am I right that the fabric is actually brown? Took another look and can't tell 100% with the background.

Stormcloud definitely reads solidly as a grey fabric and based on handling it, I would put it as similar to linen in terms of breathability - this would make a wonderful trouser for hotter, more humid days.

Oh man the teak shell is so good.  Saddle Couro Cromo was my previous favorite but it has now been officially de-throned by teak.

I think Don L already covered this but I'd echo his sentiments - they're not super heavy but they are solidly in flannel territory.

What size should I be ordering ?
i have a couple of Epaulet fit shirts in S - however after 2 years of weightlifting they are a bit too tight in chest and waist, and a bit too short in sleeves..
EPLA crewneck size S is ok length but quite tight in sleeves and torso.

I think you'd take a medium in the field jacket.  The fabrics are relatively light weight so its good to leave a bit of room for layering and, given the style of the jacket, most people aren't wearing them super fitted so when in doubt with this piece I'd say round to the larger size rather than the smaller one.

Which would be the best 4 season fabric? Assuming the tweeds will be the heavier which is fine as I lack some good winter pants. (In GA)

The donegals above are definitely lighter but I wouldn't consider them a 4 season fabric - I'd probably only wear these in the low 50s and below, and I'm rather tolerant of heat.  For something with closer to 4 season wearability, amongst the ends for friend fabrics I'd steer you towards space ghost or the wool oxford tatersall.

No reason at all - they are definitely wearable casually, particularly in cottons.  Even in wools, as long as there is a bit of texture to them (e.g., not standard super 120s worsted wool dress trousers) you can easily get away with wearing them casually.  You can even press the crease out of them if you like (just beware that you'll need a pressing cloth if you want to do this yourself on wool trousers).

Come to think of it, user FrankCowperwood is a great example of someone who wears Walts casually - he does it extremely well on a frequent basis.  Check out his posts!

The color on this jacket is so outstanding.

Not to mention that the Vittorio fit on me is my favorite fit of any jacket EVER.

Such a beautiful jacket - and I have to agree, my vittorios are my best fitting jackets by a mile.
