Steel28, which color did you order?

classic black. These will be sick.

Thanks! And epaulet does send out like invoice emails for it right? I haven't been signing into sf as much recently so I don't want to miss paying my balance...

I'm looking forward to getting my heirloom cardigan. I just looked at my invoice and it seems I checked the option of including pockets on my cardigan. Does anyone know if that means normal (ie small) pockets, or the large pockets seen on the hoodie?

@Perpetual Monotony it's going to the the smaller patch pockets that are standard on the Heirloom

Sure, we'll post the balance link here and also announce it in our email newsletter @aldenfan

@JR Magat @aldenfan absolutely right, we're expecting the Heirlooms to be here and on hand right before Thanksgiving

@OdusBK @aikiman44 All of the field jackets are unlined. And we've got three fabrics.

The moleskin is the thickest and the most insulating. As @applky said, it's a great jacket for 50's and 40's weather. I'd say that it compares very closely to a standard Barbour jacket. Barbour's are lined, but waxed cotton isn't nearly as good for insulation as moleskin, so it's about the same. You'll lose the water resistance of Barbor, but moleskin breathes MUCH better, so it's more wearable on warmer days, and it's fully machine washable. We'll deliver it with a rinse wash already done.

With a sweater, I think that this is an excellent jacket for down into the 40s. It's definitely arriving late in the season, but the past few weeks have almost been too hot for it on most days. It will go out of wearability for the dead of winter, but it's going to be a brilliant early Spring piece once again.

And for all of you SoCal guys: this is an absolutely phenomenal weight for most areas. Even if its too hot in the day, it's awesome at night. I could have worn this almost year round at night in Santa Monica.

The Heavyweight Scatter Camo is pretty thick, but not as warm as the moleskin. I'm wearing it today with just a shirt and it's in the low 50's in Brooklyn. I'd need a sweater if it gets a bit cooler.

The Duck Canvas is the usual 10oz stuff that we know and love. Not great for Fall/Winter in most areas, but I had to make a lot of Field jackets, so I'm planning it as more of a Spring piece. However this would be great for SoCal, Florida, and other warmer areas.

You'd definitely want to try sizing up, but it may still be a close fit. I had a guy who takes an "E" fitting in Alden get a good fit by going up 0.5 in the Derby today, but double wide might be pushing it. Worth a try though. And the combo of Couro Cromo and blake stitching means that it can break in quite a bit in the width if need be.

@Badandy still looking for the Field Jacket to ship in a day or two. Applky lives right by the BK shop and I sold him the photo sample. I do have a medium in Grey Moleskin, Scatter Camo, and Duck Canvas if anyone else wants to buy one now. There's only those three units available, and just in medium though.

@Albrecht @lefty

Sorry for the confusion guys. I programmed the site to add in the $60 after midnight.

The text changed for the option (it said $60 more), but you'll notice that it didn't actually charge you the $60. That surcharge is only starting today. So if you ordered yesterday, don't worry - you can just disregard the $60 fee. It won't be accessed later on. Sorry about that.

So I also vote for keeping them & just getting them hemmed :)

@wigglr they look great on you - I'd echo what everyone else says. That pattern can be absolutely a conservative choice too. Places like Paul Stuart make trousers like that all of the time. @JR Magat has some great advice on how to wear them. I think you'll be surprised by how many compliments you get.

Yup, I'd recommend Woodlore Epics for the sneakers, but bought one size smaller than they should be. That way it won't stretch the sneakers too much.

Could someone who has the Donegal Tweed Overshirt in medium give me the measurement across the midsection? Thanks!

Hey guys --

Will the LBM MTO suiting be something we can peruse online for those of us not in NYC? Something to this effect was mentioned in the newsletter.

Essex Denim

RingxRing came in today and they are great. Comfortable right out of the box. Do their chinos fit like their denim? I find it to be the perfect slim straight.

Mike - any sneakers with an ecru rather than a gum sole coming soon?

My unfinished HH high trainers finally came in.  Fit and comfort is just as nice as my other tennis trainers.  The HH is definitely beefier than the calf from Gruppo Mastrotto tannery of the other trainers I have (as expected). Not buttery soft like the calf but should be significantly more durable.

If you weren't on the preorder, shame on you!  But I'd get on the next one --- highly recommended.

Sorry, I just can't compete with the amazing photos of others.  That involves taking on another hobby.

Saw some allusions but can't find the answers -- are the field jackets available somewhere on the site that I'm not seeing? And are we expecting the Thedi jackets to come in now?

Papa's got a brand new bag.

These look great with denim and I can only imagine them getting better with age.
