Thanks, Don. I didn't get tape this these because I agree re: no tape on wool rivets. It was more questioning whether I think I can pull them off, haha.

Debating between taking these to the tailor (getting them hemmed) or hitting B&S. Color was really hard to capture.

They look great on you!

Thank you both -- very kind of you! Probably wouldn't hurt to have something out of the ordinary in the closest.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

I have the same pair (olive/navy) and I think they look great!  I can relate with you where my day job isn't very fashion-forward and as a result I mainly own solid chinos/trousers (even donegal felt iffy at times) but I think olive/navy was one of the least 'loud' color combinations versus the other patterns and IMO looks great with solid shirts (polos/buttondowns).

So I also vote for keeping them & just getting them hemmed :)

Thank you! Yeah, it can be tough. When I wear Walts and a flannel button down, which is not dressed up AT ALL, I even feel like I'm pushing it. But, as you probably do as well, I dress because I love clothes. Thanks for your support! You also know I'm a huge fan of your outfits. Sometimes I have to refrain from PMing you to find out what you're wearing.

Thank you!

Appreciate how supportive this thread it. One of the few I follow because of that reason.

They look great. I'd just wear them exactly as you'd wear any charcoal gray pant (assuming that's the color?), taking care to avoid glen plaid. You've already got the idea!

When you're wearing patterned pants, just go about your business as you normally would and wear what you'd normally wear if they were a solid pair of pants in the ground color. In the Season 3 finale of Mad Men, Don Draper wears a way louder pair of glen plaid trousers and then a navy v-neck sweater and white shirt. And he looks completely normal! He just goes about his business of getting divorced and betraying his daughter and you don't even notice that the glen plaid trousers he's wearing have an electric blue windowpane because he's just doing what he does! What I'm saying is, do what you do, and you'll be fine, pants-wise. Can't help you if it leads to divorce, though. :sly:

(trust me they are patterned trousers)

Haha, love the Mad Men reference. Priceless!
Thank you for the advise. I think you've contributed in convincing me to keep them and rock them!!

1) The first 50 people to order online will be in the running to win a suede weekender bag

2) Any orders placed before midnight tonight will receive a free belt. After that, the belt option will be an additional $60

Epaulet/Mike: I'm trying to add a (second) pair of Chelsea boots to my cart, and include the belt, but it adds the after midnight $60 for the belt?

While it's past midnight here in Europe, should be several hours left of the offer of a free, matching belt?

Belt deal over? Doesn't come up as an option on the site.

Two questions:

1) I checked multiple times on Friday and never saw the field jacket drop. What's the deal?

2) Any possible ETA for suede make ups of the new PTB?

I'm sure the site just is having an issue with the belt deal. @Epaulet will make it right, be patient. They are up to their eyes with the trunk show.

Just ordered a pair of Snuff.
