i find the quality fairly similar, not much between them.
the big difference is the last. CP more elongated and tapered toe, EP rounded.
IMO the CP shape looks better, but EP is more comfortable.

+1 I posted a pic a few weeks back comparing the shapes (reposted below) and your explanation is spot on.  I think EP has really upped their game with the leather options though, and at the price point is a really good value - those new horsehide trainers & the saddle trainer are killer!

(white CP achilles low, saddle EP)

and of course worth pointing out that EP is about half the retail of CP...

Just wanted to make sure no one missed the shoe trees in the sneakers. That's shoe care dedication! Are those Woodlore Epics?

lol, I think there was discussion about this in the past and Mike recommended Woodlore Epics.  The ones I use are these that I buy from Amazon (Cedar Elements): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LV4E5QE

FYI, for anyone who feels like these are "flat" out of the box, a quick light coat of lexol conditioner really brings out the depth and color variations

@Epaulet ... The salt and pepper donegal Walt has a 39 listed in the drop down. I'm sure most assume it's a 36.

Remembered this question but couldn't find earlier - Can say that they fit perfectly normal and consistently.  I actually found my pair was slightly more forgiving in the waist than a pair of Rudys in the same size I just got in (probably just usual small variances you get sometimes).  Fabric is really nice - rushed them to the tailor.

In non-sneaker, non-trunk show news, the field jacket and tweed overshirt are incredible and the proof is in these really great photos I took just now:

Field Jacket, Loden Moleskin

Tweed Overshirt, Charcoal

Ashland dual-striped oxford from 2010ish

Ring-Ring Wilshires

Alden 403s from EP (unseen)

Just got my EFF Wool Rivets in. I love them; however, I'm just not sure they fit my style/I can pull them off. Usually, I'm more reassured regarding what I like/what I can pull of. I, also, don't usually do this, but you all are a nice bunch ;)... Thoughts?

Debating between taking these to the tailor (getting them hemmed) or hitting B&S. Color was really hard to capture.

I go hemmed and cuffed on my wool rivets.  I'm not comfortable with the roll cuff and taping showing look

@wigglr I think they look great. Glen plaid is a fun pattern and works well in a dress causal way. I'd keep them.
