Not to distract from the horsehide festival, but oh man the two new flannel Walts are incredible.

I passed on the natural horsehide. I just don't care for them in their original state and would not have the opportunity to wear them enough to get them to look decent. And I am not going to make the effort to bake them in the sun and/or rub polish, etc on them to darken them, break them in.

Been staring at them all day.

aikiman44 those look great! My pair won't be arriving until Thursday...which is fine because I can't wear them until Friday at the earliest anyway. Need to wait for casual Friday at my office before I can break these suckers out.

We got mo' Walts where that came from. I'll put up the cotton lineup this evening. We stopped doing cotton Walts a while ago, but they are back and in full force.

@Epaulet   Any new cotton/cashmere coming?  Those ones from last year were off the hook and among my most comfortable winter pants

I don't mind the starting color but may not have purchased them is they were going to stay that color. I'm stoked to darken these things up though and I really don't think it's going to take much effort at all - certainly nothing beyond what I would do to regular leather shoes anyway (basic conditioning)

Do you like natural cxl or natural shell cordovan? Or is it that whole lighter family that doesn't work for you?
