How much difference is there when comparing a "very soft" flannel vs "lightweight" flannel?

Anything coming like the gingham flannels that NE did a couple years ago?  Really dug those.

The soft flannel is a typical weight, just with a very soft hand - most likely due to a higher thread count. 

 

This lightweight stuff is extremely soft as well. If anyone likes the look of that navy floral one, you'll be blown away with how it feels. It's amazing! Just two units available on that one.
