Here's the Caramel Napoli, updated with outdoor fit shots to show the real color. It's pictured with the Armoury x Indigo Farm Jeans. It's so freaking boss with denim.

That caramel jacket looks great. I'm waiting to see to see who is going to pair it with the matching rivet chinos instead of the Walts; I feel like this needs to be done...

Many thanks - I'll try this tonight.

I wear a medium in your shirts and am 6'1" 165-170 so hopefully it will be great :)

Murphy's Oil Soap diluted in a bucket of hot water is another one to try.

Wil XXL shirts be regularly produced anymore?

No, we just do those via special order. You can pick up that size in our MTO section though. We've made quite a few of them lately.

Might this include a certain, eagerly anticipated, Carmina delivery? :inlove:

Not this week, it's still in customs. They're slower than ever these days. But next week almost for sure.

I'd still suggest you go to Navy with the sportcoat. I'd go hopsack, and maybe even forego a couple of the trousers to grab the duck Napoli instead. You 'll always be better overdressed for a situation than under, and like me, it seems your work "dress code" is whatever...so take advantage of that and dress it up if you're comfortable with it. You won't want to wear the same sportcoat everyday either, so I highly recommend getting the two, especially if your heart is set on the brown. Nothing is more versatile than the navy blazer.
I appreciate the advice. I see how Navy is more versatile but there's just something about this Caramel color that I like alot. It's very infrequent that I dress up too much so I'm still leaning on getting the tan first but I think I'll want to get the Navy Hopsack next, probably the Caine so I can dress up more if I want. Part of choosing the Caramel first is I think I am actually a bit uncomfortable "dressing up" too much, so the Caramel in the Napoli cut seems like a good transition into wearing sportcoats for me.

Navy is typically everyone's first sportcoat, but if you don't have to dress up too much, then getting a tan one could work very well. I made this Caramel jacket with that intention. The Caramel is kind of a "Carhartt" tan color, and it's a very workwear-ish tone. Other brands like Monitaly have done heritage-styled Caramel sportcoats, but I punched it into the Napoli to make a cool mix of workwear and a pared down, minimal Italian style. I really like the result. If you wear a lot of denim and a lot of olive or navy trousers, then it will be a great match for those. I'll take a photo of this with the Navy Duck Walts so you can get an idea.

We've sold a LOT of Navy duck suits because the pieces work so well as separates. I don't want to overuse the versatile word, but this stuff is really versatile. One important note to any potential Duck Suit guys: if you want to wear the two pieces together, then definitely dry clean the trousers. Duck Canvas fades quickly with washing and you can't wash the jacket. You'll need to dry clean both to keep them matched up.

I agree, it's a cool mix. It's just what i've been looking for in a sportcoat I think. I'll be stopping by the Orchard store sometime soon to check it out.. maybe even this evening if I get out early enough. I'm playing a show over on Ludlow at Cake Shop tonight.

Here's a shot of the cuff, i know I said I'd post this awhile back. Sleeves were shortened and folded under, so they're no longer functional, but it was quick and cheap, and for a casual blazer just fine for me:

Two questions:

1. Any chambray fabrics coming to the MTO program?

2. You mentioned that the new L.B.M. jackets run a little short. Do they make long sizes, and have you considered carrying them? Or, is the market just not there for that?

Thanks.

hi
looking for some advice on a few topics

1) Spring/Summer/Fall Jacket Replacement
i lost my well-used Polo Quilted Blue Richmond Jacket on a recent flight. it was this. any recommended alternatives?
like this

2) MTO Blazer Advice- i am looking for something to wear to work for the summer. have blue wool and this thing. looking for something else.

3) Cotton Walt Size - purchased 2 cotton walts. didnt wash them yet. do they run true-to-size? size 32 waist. they feel tight pre-wash.

thanks

These jackets have been selling really well for us, and they make a great casual spring/summer piece. Machine washable too. The fit is on the shorter side, so if you're much taller than 6', you'll want to carefully check the measurements if you take smaller than a Euro 52 / US 42.

I don't know why, but this pushed me over the edge. Bought one in a 48/38. :) Hoping it works out -- the Caine fits me well, but I've been wanting an unlined, unstructured jacket for a while.
