I was in two Straight Edge Hardcore bands. That was my second one. They're pretty big now. Called Foundation on Bridge 9 Records.

Holy ****, you were in Foundation (Atlanta band). "When the smoke clears" and "Hang Your Head" (which was really just the 'Hang Your Head' 7 inch plus bonus stuff) were incredible albums, as was the "Never Stops Raining" 7' on Triple B Records.

Foundation, Have Heart, Down to Nothing, Champion, Buried Alive, etc. Phew, the straight edge/hardcore/youth crew scene in the 90s was pure gold. So awesome! Damn, if I was still into sxe (which I am a little bit), I'd be so asking you if you still had copies of your demo tape or uber-awesome test presses or something.

Edit:
Don't know if you mind, but here's some mp3's for people who've never heard your band.

Enjoy!

Not sure if the competition is over or anything but I have a before and after picture, sort of.

(I apologize for the pictures, taken from my tablet)

The original shoes on the left (before Styleforum and Epaulet) and the replacements on the right (post Epaulet).

Alfani square toed something or anothers... and Carmina/Epaulet Salinger Caramel Calfskin.

A little sad I was sent devirginized shoes but hey.. when you get the very last in your size, just be happy.

They're a LITTLE too big for me but not enough to throw a fit.

Extremely happy with Epaulet, will be looking there first for anything and everything.

Shoes are the first part to a better wardrobe for me. Not sure how these fit the pants I already have. Feedback appreciated.

Hm...so I picked up one of the Ashland shirts last week. It's beautiful, but I just noticed that after wearing for four hours, with an undershirt, on a 40 degree day, there are massive, bleachy underarm stains. Hasn't ever happened to any other shirts, even with constant use in 100 degree weather. Is this normal for these shirts? Pretty bummed that my $150 shirt is ruined after four hours.

I think it looks good - with a wider leg opening you need to have some break. If you'd prefer no break then you'd need to really taper that a lot.

I prefer some break. I really don't like the look of no break in front. No break in back is good though.

Thanks.

My wife, mother, and sister-in-law are down in LA for the weekend; amazing temps for mid-Feb!

Killing it as always, Wis.

Do you wear anti-perspirant deodorant? If so your shirts will get stained no matter what, and it has nothing to do with the quality of the shirt itself. Try switching to non-anti persipirant deoderant - I did so and my nasty yellow pit stains went away.

For the gentlemen who have grant and plaza lasted boots, how do these two compare fit wise?
TIA

I do, but as I said, it has not stained a single other shirt in many years of use. And didn't stain the undershirt that I was wearing at the same time.

Yes, switching just to a deodorant will help with the stains. As can pretreating the stains at washing - I've had good use of Oxyclean, as well as a few home remedies:

1) Make sure your washing machine is clean - run a small, hot load empty but for a 1 cup of white vinegar. This will dissolve a lot of the soap scum and other gunk in the washer hoses, resulting in your clothes washing brighter overall.

2) For yellow stains on white, I've had good results in rubbing white chalk over the stain and letting sit for about 10 minutes before wash. It absorbs a lot of the oil/grime/dirt in the stain itself.

3) Finally, for very stubborn sweat stains, try combining 1 tablespoon of ammonia w/ a 1/2 cup of water. Saturate a sponge in the mixture and then rub down the yellow stains w/ the sponge, let sit for a few minutes, then wash as normal. The alkaline nature of ammonia neutralizes many of the stain-causing acids in sweat, while also dissolving oil and salt buildup.

Hope some of this might help you out.

IMO, very similar. Plaza is clearly the most comfortable for me
