Mike,
I've been holding off on any more boot purchases pending the ruby boot pre-order. I will take the open slot. (need more shell boots like I need a hole in my head...but the are RUBY )
I'm looking at the Sinclair Shortwing Boot Saddle Shell Cordovan and considering getting a pair of these. I wear a size 11D Alden Barrie Last, which size would I need to get these in and do you know when you might have these in stock?
Also looking to check out the ruby boot is there somewhere I can go to check these out?
Thanks for the quick response. You got it! I'm going to put that together this evening. Thanks!
You'd most likely take a size 10.5UK, as most guys size down a half from their Barrie Last fit. I'm unfortunately out of that size in the Sinclair Saddle (no immediate reorder on the horizon), but I've got that in two other shell carmina boots:
Sinclair Shortwing Boot in Burgundy Shell Cordovan. The color on this is beautiful, and it fits this season brilliantly.

Anderson Jumper Boot in Cognac Shell Cordovan. This is straight-up one of the best looking things that has ever graced our shelves. It's gorgeous!

The Ruby Shell makeup was arranged in our Epaulet x Carmina thread. Definitely consider subscribing, the guys there have been putting some brilliant makeups together. That particular one is all spoken for, but we're running new makeups every few weeks:

I have the rust steep twill and it is a heavy fabric. I think they will definitely wear warmer than jeans. I think they are a three season trouser: fall/winter/spring. You might get away with them in decent 70 degree weather, though, particularly in low humidity.
Hmm, I'd definitely say that they're too thick for Costa Rica. They're pretty warm and lofty.
Regiment Twills would definitely be a better choice. Above and beyond that, I can definitely recommend the UK Sanded Canvas in either Olive or Butterscotch. Olive is a more versatile tone IMO. I wore these very comfortably on 70-degree days - or warmer - and it's a tough fabric that will wear very hard.
For Mike, Matt, or those of you who have purchased the superfine merino wool sweaters, how do you know what size it is? I can't seem to find a size tag on mine. It fits me perfectly, so I'm keeping it regardless, but I was just curious to know if I received the large that I ordered so I know what size to purchase in the future. Thanks guys.
There should be a hangtag with either size large or 50 on it. They're EUR sizing on the manufacturer tag since they're made in Italy.
I'm sorry if this isn't the place, but a lot of NYers (especially here in Brooklyn and SI) have lost EVERYTHING. if you're local please check with your local city council rep, and donate what you can. My wife and I packed a whole bag of toys and clothes and dropped them off while Trick or Treatin', so any local guys, please check in with em...
