^ Please freaking buy it in that size. Please!

You are telling me to by it, but you didn't tell me if that's the correct assessment for you guys.

Barrie 8.5D = 42 F-Last and 42 New Peter Last = 42 3636 Last

Hard to say with 100% certainty. I am 8D Barrie and the 41 ultimately fit me a bit better than 41.5 on New Peter. The 41 is snug across the instep but the heel is way better. I expect them to open up after a few wears. I love the fit and finish of the VASS captoes I got, really psyched with them

So you are an 8.5D TTS?

Anyone able to compare their Carmina Rain size to Vass 3636?

Yes. Although I think I am an 8.25D/E wink.gif I feel like a tweener for sure...

I'm in Houston now and when I saw the hoodies earlier today I thought yeah right...it's hot as hell now and staying like this for awhile. Then, this afternoon, found out I need to be in Buenos Aires for a bit where it's winter so jumped on the faded indigo.

I visited the Manhattan store yesterday and tried on the Vittorio sportscoat (really nice), the Wilshire jean (fits pretty well even though I wear Rudys), and the Doyle and Kamigata. I remember someone in this thread asking for advice on choosing between the Doyle and the Kamigata. In my opinion, the Doyle is nice but the Kamigata is something special. You're unlikely to have anything else like it in your wardrobe. Buy the Kamigata.

Oh thanks. Not C&J. They are from Bexley, a French shoemaker. I like them because they offer blake-stitched shoes in really flattering shapes, the leather is soft and feels great starting on the first wear, and at a pretty affordable price too. And while that probably means they are made elsewhere, I've got two pair that I've had for a couple years now and the durability seems to be good. The only downside is that ordering can be kind of a process, and while they will take off VAT, you can then get hit with a "brokerage fee" aka customs charges. Also I had to place my order twice, because they couldn't process the first card I used. That meant I then had to use one that charged a foreign transaction fee instead of the one I have that doesn't.

So to make this relevant to this thread, I believe Epaulet is working on getting a line of blake-stitch shoes going at prices lower than their other offerings (Alden; Carmina), which should fill this gap nicely without any of the hassle. For those of us in year-round warmer climates, goodyear welt is unnecessary and one can get sleeker shapes with the blake construction than with goodyear.

Thank you sir. Well, Houston is uniquely hoodie-unfriendly, but this medium-weight french terry is surprisingly comfortable to wear in warmer temps. I wore the sample a lot on 80+ days in LA.

Can't wait to get the EPLA ocbd in XXL. And an olive Doyle in 44L, if that ever happens.

No prob, EPLA XXL's are confirmed for the next delivery. We won't have a long fit in the Doyle, but we will have size 44's in all colors

Follow up question: kids don't really need paid day care, right?

I can't wait to purchase a kamigata, just can't wait!!

For the ones who have em, which one between the two fabrics fades faster?
Thx in advance!

We've got a really limited amount of VASS shoe trees, and most pairs don't have them included. The best that I can offer is that after the stock is sold through, we can put up the trees for cost and you might be able to get a matching pair. Sorry guys, just don't want to over-promise anything.

Do the Carminas still come with trees? Last pair I picked up didn't and I recall something about you guys being short.
