Initially loved burnt orange. Then rationalized, they look quasi-similar in tone to the tan moleskins. Bought rust. Now have burnt orange remorse.

how to size in those aldens? i wear an 8 or 8.5 in chucks and a 42 in common projects/wings and horns sneakers

Your sizing seems inconsistent... most 42 CP would be a 9 in Converse. I'm guessing 8 maybe 8.5 on the Barrie.

Hrmmm Burnt Orange for Giants games? :embar:

Recent shot of the grape Caine sportcoat. I've also had a chance to wear the green corduroy Caine sportcoat recently and I will make a pointed suggestion that everyone take another look at it in the sale section. It's a hell of a jacket for $375 bucks, and available in the full range of sizes I think. Will try to post a photo, but the corduroy really breaks in nicely after just a wear or two and it's going to be a great jacket for fall IMO.
Also, kudos to Mike, Adele, and the gang on the cut of the Caine. It seems to me as if you've given it a really nice shape through the body. I'd have to say it's probably the ready to wear jacket with the fit that I like best.

I think this looks great. I couldn't quite envision this SC or the green corduroy for myself, but you're definitely doing it well. Post the green corduroy if you get the chance.

Are those the new herringbone tweed? How heavy are they? Fully lined, right?

Thanks, fellas.

The brown trousers are the new Donogal wool that was put up several days ago. It's noticeably thick, but not as quite as thick as the Harris Tweed. They are lined to the knees if I recall correctly. I tried them once when I got home at 10PM last night and didn't pay that much attention. Will be going to the tailor tomorrow!

I've gotten so used to my new Rivet routine - launder, iron, tailor - that I repeated the first two steps with my new petrol blue Walts last night before remembering they were dry clean only. I think ******** them up. They're a little tight in the top block now, and I may have actually burned them with the iron. Damn this summer head cold! It has made me so stupid.

Well, the petrol blue walts aren't actually dry clean only--Mike has said the people who make them put that tag on all the trousers regardless of fabric--and the top block can be let out if need be, so it sounds like the only way they'd be permanently ruined is if you burned them. For your (and the trousers!) sake, I sure hope you didn't!

We have a lot of great Womens merchandise coming in for the Fall. In terms of Epaulet branded items, we'll be doing:
  • Southwick jacket which I'm so excited for! It is slim, peak lapel in navy mohair. That's due to arrive end of September.
  • We're also introducing a new womens shirt called the "Palma" - it is a long-sleeve, longer in the body with darts - more classic fitting. This will be coming in white and blue dress oxford cloth.
  • A beautiful range of flannels, plaids, pindots in the Girlfriend shirt & Audrey dress as well.

For other brands - great sweaters from Armour Lux, the most incredible coats from Schneiders, more PLAY CDG merch, Wolverine by Samantha Pleet, Carmina boots and wingtips! And much much more.

In terms of pants, I was toying with the idea of doing a pant but it is an extremely hard item to produce in the womens retail world. As you can imagine, almost every woman is shaped differently - slim hips and legs all the way to curvy. I'm just not ready to tackle that quite yet, doesn't mean we won't in the future. But for now - no pants.

Hi Adele, thanks very much for the response! I figured as much with the Chinos, logistics would be a nightmare for many shapes and sizes. We are looking forward to the navy blazer!

If they are 100% cotton then don't sweat washing them. Laundered many of my trousers without issue.

Oh no, the infamous Cranberry windowpane! Can't wait to see your fit photos with those - enjoy them!

Oh man, sorry to hear that! But the washing is no problem - that top block will stretch back out just fine. I have that fabric in both a trouser and a short, and the shrinkage will be temporary.

For the iron burn, don't despair until you do another cold wash. That might take it out - or at the very least minimize it a bit.

Question about the brixton boots; if I am normally a US 9, would a 8.5 be too big? Was gonna purchase an 8 but it's sold out :/. I've never owned a pair of boots.
