Any Liberty London fabric in the pipeline for shirts and shorts? Will you build out the Walt short option for the MTOs? How do they work for us Rudy guys? I saw in the description that they are between the Walt and Rudy in the thigh.

Very nice herringbone. I'm really hoping a grey herringbone option will be available some how next fall.

Ah sorry, I'm totally behind on PM's, but no worries - you're good.

Yes, we're expecting a delivery from them next week to fill all of the outstanding styles.

Yup, they had a lead time on the new Radica leather, but the skins are all in house. The dark brown shoes are set to ship soon, and the gold ones should be next month.

Ah sorry, I won't be able to do either of these. We ran the Liberty shirts a while back, but I don't think that we'd do them again - especially as they have their own in-house shirt collection now.

Liberty cloth was way too light for shorts or trousers - at least the stuff that I saw and could easily buy.

In terms of shorts, we should be able to do the existing Walt short as MTO, although it will end up being the same price as the trousers, as we can't save anything on the production. I'm a firm Rudy 34 and I can wear the Walt short 34 without a problem in cottons and wools - although I find that the linens are a bit restrictive. But yes, we can do it.

I imagine that most of our Walt short sales will be in lightweight wools. If you've never owned a hopsack or Super 120s short, then you're in for a treat. They're awesome! You can always dial in the exact leg opening and inseam that you like too. They'll be expensive as far as shorts go, but well priced compared to other such wool pieces. We'll do a run of EPLA cotton shirts in washed duck canvas which will be in the $95 range and work great for Walt/Rudy and Rivet wearers. They'll be here around early May.

This is exactly what I am looking for! Was worried that an EPLA short would be tight in the thighs.

Now the LBM 1911 are in, do you happen to have any updates on the possibility of obtaining more LBM 1911 in longs from them? Specifically interested in a 48L (US).

Mike followed up last week to say no dice.  And we all wept a little.

Oh yes, sorry I thought that I answered this. They unfortunately cannot do it. You either order the jackets right at the top of the season or they do not make them or stock them.

That said, we may be able to offer longs in our Epaulet x Luigi Bianchi Mantova tailored line - just waiting on patternwork for that one.

Yes, this should work great for everyone. Matt and I saw the new sample of the Rivet Chino Garment Dye model yesterday, and it was pretty freaking rad. Same top fit, different construction, more tapered after the knee. I bought a bunch of excellent Kurabo 7oz slubby twill which we can garment dye and make into an epic year-round chino.

Oops, my fault. I missed reading the LBM 1911 update.

Hoping for next week on that.

And for all you Galey & Lord preorder dudes, we should have the next delivery of Wilshires by Tues-Wed. Along with that G&L twill will be a full restock of Grey Kurabo, a new Spring-weight indigo Kuroki, and a solid dyed Cone Mills. Good stuff all around!

Matt's Doyle Looks

Matt escaped to Los Angeles over the past few days for a crazy round of product development meetings. He rocked the Doyle day in and day out. Here's some shots of him on the street:

He customized it with a Santa Fe styled back patch right after he got it. When he told me about it, I was convinced that it was going to say Slayer, Anthrax, or Iron Maiden. But this is cool too:

And we're about two weeks out on the restock of this item in both Navy and Olive. I'm working on a REALLY special fabric that I should have confirmation on shortly. If we can get it, then we'll do a Doyle pre-order item as it's very limited and freaking rad.

That lighter weight indigo Kuroki sounds great.  Needless to say, I can't wait for spring/summer - boat and beach weather!   think we'll hit the 70s again this weekend actually.  :D
