Amazing post, Matt. Thanks for taking the time to share all of that

I would say it's a good year-round weight. Definitely going to be comfortable when the temps start warming up. I think you'll find that the fabric breathes well, has a soft, yet hard-wearing feel and a light weight when worn.

Do you have it in store in Manhattan?

I emailed Adele yesterday and she said it wasnt.

I'll be in town next week and wanted to fit up.

Odd angle and lighting, but still, yesterday's Southwick:

Southwick x Mike Navy Hopsack Napoli

Ashland (Gitman x EP) Pink Gingham Cutaway Collar Shirt

EP Pearl Grey Lightweight Flannel Walts (unseen) -- bring these back!

Carmina x EP Snuff Suede Chukkas (unseen)

Non-EP (Click to show)
Vanda tie and PS

I just ordered the Navy Doyle from Matt after suddenly realizing I needed a casual jacket. It didn't hurt that I recently received a $100 ATT Visa gift card in the mail. Thanks to Matt for putting up with me and taking my order over the phone so I could pay with two cards...

In re the weight, if I hold mine up I can see pin pricks of light coming through the weave. It's definitely duck canvas, but it's not a tight weave. I think there's been talk in this thread about how the 10oz canvas is actually pretty breathable. It doesn't wear heavy. Of course, we just had another winter storm warning here. So I'm biased about what constitutes heavy for the moment.

And @leftofthedial: Thanks so much for that detailed and considered post about the Doyle. Exactly what I was interested in hearing.

Are you guys wearing the Doyle as a sport coat (e.g. indoors) or as outerwear only?

I've been wearing mine as both. It breathes very well and is comfortable to wear indoors.

Yup, it's 10oz Duck Canvas. Same cotton that we use in the chinos, but it's organic. It will fade out with wear and it has an open weave that keeps it cool.

Both NYC shops just received their stock. We'll hopefully have some to show you next week, but it's selling out pretty quickly. I've shipped out nearly everything that I have here in Cali, and both NYC shops just received a size run. We'll definitely restock though, in case we miss you on it.

I received the olive Doyle on Monday and have worn it everyday since then. I'm using it as a shirt jacket/overshirt, so more like a layering piece. It's a great jacket and I think I'll get a lot of use out of it.

Hi Matt, may I ask what is your Doyle size? I guess we have similar build.

I normaly wear Epaulet shirts Small, 37 Jackects, but I like the look of the Western shirt Medium on me better when I tried it at the SM strore.

Thanks.

I think that you could swing a 36 on this. We've got more on order and we'll restock it shortly.
