Sweat shorts? Many, many other brands already do that aesthetic, so why not venture there - beyond the vanity of having everything in the wardrobe say EP? I don't think EP's place is to become a 1-stop provider for anything imaginable. Overdiversification doesn't benefit anybody, causing EP to divert attention from what it does well, and then putting out a readily-available product into a marketplace where such a thing is already available.

Just one view. I appreciate Mike's sartorial daring too, but I think it has its limits.

EPLA is heading toward the casual with all the denim, TShirts, hoodies, etc. EPNY appears sticking to the business casual/business attire.  This lends itself to 2 distinct lines under the Epaulet brand.

Haha @ Snorkel Pants. Maybe we should do a wool hopsack tank top while I'm at it. smile.gif

I love that this can be an open forum for requests and feedback - so everyone should absolutely feel free to toss out any ideas that they have. I take a lot of design inspiration from you guys, so everything that's written here is taken to heart.

That said, EPLA sweat shorts are not where we are right now, so we most likely won't put that into work. But that's an item which Reigning Champ does very well, so we ordered it from them.

And we will have a new washed duck canvas short to offer for this Spring/Summer. Great hand on that fabric (you Doyle guys will know what I'm talking about soon), and the price is going to be bonkers.

Hey Mike,

When can I order Walts in same fabric as Driggs (washed cotton twill). I want to get both, navy and British khaki.

Real close - I want to have that trouser program online next week.

And we're looking at our first Spring Walt Delivery and the Driggs re-stock in the next 7-10 days.

Thank you sir! Yes, I would say that they're similar in fit, and I'd recommend a 38 or a 40 for you. The Doyle works nicely when worn a bit larger than a typical sportcoat anyway.

Also +1 for organic cotton! I really appreciate the thoughtfulness that goes into both the design and the sourcing of Epaulet's garments.

I'm going to rock the heck out of this thing at the health food store. Seriously. happy.gif

Haha - health food store attire should be on our new inspiration board.

I postpone my order of raw jeans & deerskin glove because of waiting for it & the restock of white jeans...

Denim jacket should be online next week - I'm planning to receive it in the next couple of days. The white jeans are unfortunately all cut (sorry, I thought that we had more of that denim), but we're going to restock grey.

Like your Bartlett, Great fit, imo, It doesn't look short at all.

I'm new to Epaulet pants and came here because I'm looking for an alternative to the RRL Officer Chino. I read elsewhere in this thread from a few weeks ago that there is a possibility of a Cramerton restock or MTO? Any idea if the current Rivet Chinos with flap pockets would be similar to the RRL's?

Agreed, the Bartlett fits you very well. Most guys wear it around that length.

We're going to offer Rivet Chinos in Galey and Lord Military Twill, which is just like Cramerton, but 1oz lighter and priced out at $150. You'll be able to do MTO work in that as well, and you can certainly opt for rear flap pockets on those.

I'll see if I can do one showing more detail later.

I like that pairing! We'll have NY-based fit shots of this piece next week. Just for anyone looking - Oisin is 6'5", so the jacket comes up a little cropped on him. It will look longer on most guys.

I am looking forward to seeing the doyle in more colors and fabrics down the road.

Thank you sir! I love the Olive, and it's a really boss match for denim. The Doyle is definitely here to stay, and we'll put some more options into work shortly.

You've got a couple inches height even on me, but you're also quite slim so that's a good gauge.

I could oder both, but that always feels a little indulgent and also a hassle for everyone...

It's hard to compare the Doyle to the Napoli exactly, as the construction is so different. But if you wear a 40 Napoli, then I think that you'll dig the 40 Doyle. It's going to be a touch more relaxed - especially around the waist - but that's supposed to be the look. It's still much more fitted than a traditional French Work Jacket.

For me, I take a solid 41R in Southwick. I can wear the 40 Doyle, but it pulls ever so slightly at the 3rd button, and it looks slim on me overall.

Just checking.

I'd say a 40, especially if you want to layer. That will give you some space underneath without looking too big.

Doug Barber is also the nicest brandman in the game.

Agreed. I didn't get to meet Doug, but the guys said he was very cool. I think that CYC does a brilliant job, and it's exciting to bring in some fresh product.

I think the rise is pretty moderate for jeans. Not too low slung at all but not workwear high, if that makes sense.

The color of the grey Wilshires is great. They will be a really nice change from indigo.  The OD ones will provide even more color options when they drop.  My grey Wilshires are sadly at the tailor awaiting hemming.  Patience is not my virtue.
