So I just received my first Rivet chinos. They are 29's and fit a tad snug for me but they were final sale. It's nothing too egregious, but I am curious as to how much stretching one can expect in the waist?
Aha! You got the 29 Japanese Khakis? I was eyeballing them for a couple of days and then poof, gone.

I've got a handful of rivets and have noted minimal, if any, stretching in the waist, but then again 29 is a spot on fit for me (no tension=no stretching). YMMV, however. Others may have different experience (NYR and others have a slew of rivets and have been wearing them for longer).

PS. if you decide to part with them, please pm me.

Maybe a smidge but not much...and they may shrink a smidge in a wash...

Matt, I saw you at Union Pool Sunday night but I was in another world, going to see about a girl. Looked sharp "in the wild"

I think I'm going to make my first epaulet purchase, those olive duck and caramel rivets are calling my name. I'm usually a 34 in J Crizzle urban slim, Club Monaco slim and whatnot so I think I'll go with a 34 in both.

$300 on chinos for a first purchase, giddy up.

J Crew has mighty generous waist sizing but who cares, Epaulet pants will let out. Enjoy.

Any chance on summer weight light grey wool trousers similar to the twill? The steel irish and muted grey are great as well, don't get me wrong!

For wool, we're stocking Medium Grey and Charcoal Grey in Walts, and we can accept special orders in either of them for Rudy's. I'd say that medium grey is closer to the Twill color.

Anybody here own the Italia Hidden BD Collar shirts? How does the fit compare to the Mainline Ep shirts?

It's a little bit larger. Not enough for most guys to size down, but if you're on the edge of an Ep size then you probably can (ex. if an EP large is pretty loose on you but an EP medium is just a hair too tight, then the Italia Medium will probably be spot on)

Mike - any plans to re-stock the Madras shirt anytime soon?

No, we've unfortunately run through all of our Madras for the season. I don't have any more on order at the moment.

Just got my made to order xxl pin dot, very happy with it, fits like a glove, thanks guys

Thank you sir - glad that it worked out!

To quote Pete Cetera, "You're my inspiration" for that fit! :slayer: (as much as Pete Cetera can be :slayer:):nodding:

I am fully in support of any and all Peter Cetera references. Bravo!

I stopped in to the Manhattan branch on Saturday and met Matt and a colleague (I don't think I ever got his name...). The in-store shopping experience was just as pleasant as you'd think. Talked some baseball, tried on some Rivet Chinos. Picked up the distressed mint and a pair of the oxfords in wine, as well as the cherry red 7 oz canvas. Looking forward to a summer of comfortable, lightweight trousers. I had on the grey oxford Rivets and the milkshake Indys for my walk around the island on Saturday. Both outstanding for a pleasantly warm summer day.
Good times. Thanks.

Thank you sir - I heard that the guys had a great time meeting you! Hope that you had a killer trip to NYC.

Any news on when the polos will drop? I have been in a deep polo-phase this summer, and I am excited to see what additions Epaulet brings...

Should be pretty soon, I know that they're finishing them up any day now in Italy. We're having them sent here via UPS so we should avoid any customs beef-ness. You guys will be the first to know once they arrive.

Haha, Matt is all about being "in the wild" when it comes to Williamsburg bars.

Yup, they're on order for 7/15, a full restock of all sizes.
