I would be all over the navy cashmere flannel FF if I needed a new blazer.  The Southwick for BB that I picked up in '99 is still going strong, however (even if I'm not quite the 39L I was back then).

how hard wearing are cashmere SCs?

FWIW, Navy Cash Flannel is all gone.

Not surprising. Good staple at a good price.

I believe NYI also posted a fit with that jacket.

Thanks for posting! I don't have a pic at the ready, but I also tend to wear with light grey trou. Suffice it to say, the jacket is beautiful and luxe. Don't lose out on this one.

Oh good I was worried you were going to do something out of the ordinary. ;)

Not what I meant at all. I meant "Uh..." as in wow those are incredible.

Hey Mike, this image is a little old, but would you mind giving me details on this Carmina one off of yours? I'm interested in a similar make up. Is that the ruby shell?
Sorry if this is the wrong thread since it's not exactly Epaulet related.

Thanks, I needed that.

I already got their last pair of Saddle Greeleys my size on sale and didn't need to be driven into further boot-related penury.

Also, I'm sure everyone has seen it, but a couple Carmina seconds added to the sale section. That caramel greeley looks fine.

I tell you what --- I'd trade in my Alden cigar captoes for those WWII cognac shells in a heartbeat. Looking forward to the next round of Carmina group buys!

I really like the way Carmina looks, but I've never been able to find a last or size that really works for me. I tried about 5 different pairs over the last year and a half, all different lasts, and I really didn't like the way any of them fit. All were either sold or returned. It's a shame, I wish at least a few of those would have worked for my feet.

Have you tried the Inca last?

How warm are the UK tweeds in relation to the flannels? I was set to buy some tweeds, then thought that I may not get that much wear out of them. DC can get cold, but it's not New York, Chicago, or Boston.

I'd say they are similar. Neither is crazy warm -- not like a super thick tweed. I'm in Philly and get plenty of wear out of both fabrics. Above 55 degrees I might avoid them.
