Rob, must say, that Loden shell absolutely kills it. Makes me sad I was not a buyer. Great look, you and the family.

we need like an epaulet FAQ or something. these questions come up once a week

info on:

- rudy orders

- mto orders

- factory finds (when is next?)

- buttondown collar configuration change

- why is it called a "rivet" chino

- can I machine wash my cotton walts that have a "dry clean only" tag

- what's with this extra unattached belt loop

- how long before Mike is considered a "regular" at the Gas Lite

there are a few more probably but those are the ones off the top of my head

Add 'when is next round of walt/alden/batch of whatever coming in?'

I couldn't resist - one pair of autumn rivets and EP belt ordered. I'm weak.

Q. When will my Alden special order come in?

A. Waiting for Alden special orders is like waiting for Godot.

1.  Which are thicker / heavier - the tweed or flannel trousers?

2.  I am looking for a navy trouser in a different fabric than hopsack or the 120s.  What would you recommend?

Thanks. Not ideal, but will work. Best.

1) Tweed are heavier than the flannel.

2) The Walts in Duck Canvas in navy are pretty nice. Awesome fabric & versatile.

Thanks, but the Duck Canvas are a little too casual and need more of a dress pant for work.

^navy marl lambs wool, aka flannel look amazing. Otherwise I'd say just trust your instinct!

my favorite epaulet navy ever is the flanella from late last winter. not sure if that's still available. it's the closest to a true navy.

Thank you sir! I believe that's the second-to-last Autumn Speckles, so good timing!

Agreed - we're all happy to see Rob back in his top form!

Still waiting to get my ironwood and oxford grey back from the tailors!

Awesome, really glad that you're so pleased with it!

(I have the sky blue and it's hands down my favourite shirt).

It's the hand and the weight of it. The $140-$150 Chambray's are generally Italian - often from Albini. They're very soft and fairly lightweight. It's a true luxury shirting fabric.

The $110 Sunwashed Chambray is Japanese. Lower thread count, a little thicker, and more casual.

Yup, checking on this! If we have more cloth, then we can offer this MTO as a really boss deal.

Had to get my 32 Nori Walts let out an inch.  I was surprised because I generally have good luck with sizing Epaulet pants.  I have 32 in other Walts but these aren't as true to size.  FYI for the group.

Just got my caramel Ducks though, they fit great at 32 and are beautiful.
