Wow. Huge fan of steep twill for trousers, but I think I might just like it even more in a jacket.

Looks great. That must be a substantial cotton sport coat. I like the dove grey hopsack more everytime I see it. Great choices.

Yup, I would go with that recommendation. And when you take a Euro size, are you typically wearing a 42.5?

Hey guys. For my first post on SF, I'd like to introduce myself to the Epaulet crew. I'm 31, practice law in South Carolina (please don't hold that against me) and, as you can tell from my handle, love the Clemson Tigers. Anyway, I've been reading through this thread for a few weeks now and really love what Epaulet is offering. Having said that, I'm looking to make my first purchase and wanted to get some clarification on the exchange/return policy and your thoughts on sizing.

Given that I work in a business environment, I'm leaning towards purchasing a Walt trouser as my first purchase. I recently purchased a few HY trousers and like the slimmer fit, so now I'd like to compare those to a Walt. I'm trying to decide whether to get the size 31 or 32 in these. I wear either a 31 or 32 in all of my pants (jeans and shorts are typically 31 while some business and suit pants are 32), and the HY pants I purchased are size 32 (in the Italian cut). I'm 5'9" and weigh about 155 lbs and have an athletic upper body but skinny runner's legs. Any opinions? If these don not fit correctly, I can exchange them, correct? I’ll be purchasing some chinos in the near future once more fall colors hit.

Also, I don't see how I'll be able to not pull the trigger on the Cognac Sport Trainers. Love that shoe! I typically wear a size 8D in my dress shoes, but I wear an 8.5 or 9 in some tennis shoes, so I'm confused as to what size to go with. I may get a size 8.5.  Any thoughts?

Sorry for the long post, but I would appreciate your thoughts!

Hey there, and thanks for the post! Welcome!

Styleforum members get a 14-day refund policy on all full price purchases, so you can absolutely send something back if it doesn't work for you. We're pretty fast at processing returns as well.

As the other guys suggested, I'd advise picking out a Walt fabric that you like and ordering both the 31 and the 32. Given your dimensions, I'm thinking that the 31 will be a better fit, but that comes down to how you prefer the trousers to feel.

For the Sport Trainers, they correspond best with dress shoe sizing. Athletic shoes (adidas, New Balance, etc) can jump around a bit it in sizing. I'd recommend the 40.5EU for you in the trainers. And the Cognac leather is GORGEOUS!

This looks awesome! I've never actually seen that jacket, but it made up gorgeously. Good call on the working buttonholes too.

Hmm, that's a great idea. We'll make this happen! They would make a boss match to a casual navy jacket like stmaier's Steep Twill piece.

Mike/Matt just got a pair of the FF Rudys in size 37, I'm looking at the Walt Twill Moss trousers, am I correct in assuming I'd be best off with a 38 and get them altered if need be?

Oh great! For the sale trousers, yes, I'd recommend the 38 and having it taken in if you need to. Better that than letting out a 36

Nice! Hoping to get mine soon.

I got a shipping confirmation on Saturday for my chocolate ripstops but they still have not arrived. NY to Boston is typically a day so not sure why I have not seen them yet. Hoping for tomorrow.
