I saw the new sneakers in person the other day, they look insanely comfortable and nice. If you're thinking about picking up a pair... do it.

My Nat CXL belt split right away - I still wear it a lot

Yup, grey herringbone windowpane from the first round of Factory Finds

Hmm...my natrual CXL Epaulet belt hasn't split yet even though I've worn it fairly often (although probably not too often by normal people's standards given that I have about a 10~15 belt rotation). I wonder if I just jinxed myself by reading about all these split natrual CXL belts...

Adele suggested a local fix. Ended up being $12 repair where additional stitching was added.
You may be able to DIY it with contact cement, which works well on leather, but I would want the stitching reinforcement.

Today I'm wearing the natural CXL, which is probably my most worn belt, and this is the only one that's starting to have a problem - it looks like the 2 pieces of leather are starting to pull apart from each other right at the spot where it's buckled. Apologies in advance for the crotch shot below. I'm going to keep wearing this thing until it completely falls apart, and if it ever does I'm going to get it fixed and keep wearing it smile.gif
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Hey guys,

My apologies - those Natural CXL belts were two piece, as it's difficult to get a really thick natural skin from Horween. The brown and black belts were one piece, so this won't be an issue for anyone who owns those.

I'm sorry that they're failing like this. As some of the other guys have mentioned, getting it repaired by a local cobbler is the best route. It should be pretty quick and very inexpensive. If we were still producing at that factory, I'd have them fixed for you, but unfortunately we no longer have a contact there.

On the casual belt front, I do have some new products in the pipeline. We're working with Hermann Oak tannery in St. Louis and developing a really gorgeous casual bridle leather belt with them. It will come in three colors to start (black, brown, London tan), have a brushed antique silver buckle, and retail at $75. The leather is single piece and beautiful. AND the buckle can be unsnapped and easily changed. Made in the USA of course. I hope to have those around mid-September.

Had the opening day for Epaulet-SM been finalized yet?

And when do we get to see the previews of the tweed/flannel pants for fall?

We're projecting Thursday, August 22nd at the moment. It kind of depends on when all of our merchandise comes in, but sometime around then should be realistic. If we don't make it that day, then it will be the following week. I'll keep you guys posted, and we'll definitely do a little event that night.

Saw this today as Banana Republic rolled out their fall line. Looking very familiar to EPs RCs from the last few seasons: Camo, plum, navy, grey...

Interesting to see when the trends hit various menswear suppliers.

Yeah, the camo print is really bold for BR. I saw that last week myself.

Am I wrong that the mention of the collar pocket on the Frost Chambray is just a symptom of a copy and paste? Or am I somehow not seeing the pocket in the pictures?

Epaulet cadet gray. Now that I look at the picture, maybe the suit could use a few minor tweaks, but it does the job. Still yet to find another place that offers separates (big drops aren't always a plus) at this price point/quality. Waiting to put my navy in rotation nod[1].gif
