Yes, that's definitely on order. We'll also have

Carmina
Burgundy Shell Alt Wien (prob this month)
Hatch Grain Alt Wien (Sept-Oct)

Ludwig Reiter
Light Cognac Shell Alt Wien (Sept)

Vass
Medium brown Calf Alt Wien (Sept)

For Alden, I re-ordered their Alt Wien in Color #8, in snuff suede, and in burnished tan calf. No estimated date for that, but would probably be next Spring at the earliest.

Yes, I'd advise sticking with the natural structured shoulder. The soft Napoli shoulder is pretty unforgiving if your shoulders don't fill out the pattern. Our standard shoulder is really flattering for nearly every guy, and it's still fairly low-profile compared to most jackets out there.

Boom! Those trousers are looking boss! You should rock them to our "Fathers Office" meetup.

Regarding lapels, Epaulets are spot on, just skinny enough for the Thom Browne dimensions of now but wide enough that you don't look clownish

Has the date been set? happy.gif I was hoping to get the camo jacket in this week, been a little over a month since I ordered now...was planning on rocking that in some sort of non menswear way.

Sure thing, we're shooting for 8/15 to 8/20. You should definitely get the jacket well before then - we've had a few Camo pieces come through in the past week. I think that it will hit you any day now.

Good stuff, Mike. Gbear and myself have visited the branch in SM. tried to organize a round up of dudes for the Culver City branch but never worked out. Hoping to check out the shop in person soon!

How is the Santa Monica vs Culver City? Pretty much the same? I've been to the Culver City one a handful of times when I was working down there and I should be back in a few months working in Santa Monica.

The pricing on the Samuelsohn, with the MTO fee for a long length, might be a bit rich for my blood at this point. I'm sure the quality is amazing, but I'm not sure I can justify over a grand for a navy blazer right now. I can get TWO factory finds Southwicks or that price! Which I am moments away from doing right now smile.gif

This recent discussion also has me looking hard at the cream/goldenrod. I've already committed to the snuff. But there are a number of others that are also tempting. Loden/burnt orange anyone? Mint/lavender windowpane? At this price, why not?

These look great.

I picked up the cream/goldenrod but I am also really interested in the Loden/burnt orange...That looks like it will be terrific when it is made up!

Just grabbed the Cream/Goldenrod as well. Lot of nice choices so it was hard to narrow down but Mike's comment sealed it for me

Mike--

Do you have any pics of that Barena sweater blazer you mentioned a while back?  Thinking this is going to be a needed addition to the fall wardrobe.

I'm personally going with the Loden/Burnt Orange and the Sand/French Blue. I was certain that the Sand/French blue would sell out immediately, but it seems not everyone shares the same taste as me! Really looking forward to that one though

Anyway to check out how many pieces are available before regretting to pull the trigger?

Someone earlier told me this. Add around 20 of the jacket to your cart and then check out. It will tell you how many are actually in stock.

I pulled the trigger on the sand/french blue about an hour ago, and I thought it was going to sell out quickly too.  I'm thinking that's going to make up as an amazing coat. For those of you interested, there's only one left so I'd make it happen sooner rather than later.

Hmm, I'm not sure exactly. But as we get closer to the date, we can always take a preorder on it too. I imagine that they'll arrive sometime in mid August.

Oh yes, I can't say enough good things about that. Much like LBM is a really perfect soft, garment-washed jacket, this Barena piece is a really perfect sweater sportcoat. Looks way more sportcoat than sweater, and really holds it shape. I wore the hell out of it.

I don't know if this is the exact piece that we're getting, but it looks very close to this. I ordered it in a few colors:

YO DUDES!

So we heard from Southwick that we have enough for a few more units of this bad boy...

Factory Finds Navy Wool/Cotton/Cashmere Napoli Sportcoat - $475

If you missed the long review of the fabric, you can check it out below! I really can't say enough good things about it.

It has a great hand, is very substantial and is EXTREMELY hard wearing. You NYC dudes know how hard I wear my clothing. From shoes to sportcoats, I don't baby anything I own. I think clothes should be worn and the repairs/fades/whatever are, somewhat, badges of honor. I would liken the fabric to Fresco in a lot of ways, but the cashmere and cotton in the blend give it distinctly different properties. It is softer and thicker to the touch. I believe it's around 9.5 or 10 oz, so it's not a Summer fabric, but I can wear it comfortably up to almost 90 degrees. I think it's a 3 1/2 season fabric. For you LA or SF dudes, I think it would serve you all VERY well in particular.

(I was comfortable in the suit all day at Pitti)

And a close-up
