Check out the new fabric they just added to the factory finds with Southwick, it would make an awesome navy blazer. Matt posted a really comprehensive review of the fabric a few days ago.

One of the things Matt mentioned is that he originally ordered the soft shoulder and it didn't work too well (I think it might have to do with narrow shoulders needing a bit of structure) - the Napoli that comes in only has the soft shoulder (otherwise I'd probably be all over it).

Depending on where you live, you might be able to have a tailor add some padding like Matt did, but I'm not sure I'd be able to get that done well in Seattle.

I am in the same boat.  I have variations of navy, charcoal and black dress pants at the moment and it seems a navy blazer would not provide enough contrast.

Thoughts?

Hey dude, they will be open tomorrow. I was gonna check out the Manhattan store today as well, but I called to check as they tend to close on days like today (after a holiday). I'll be in there tomorrow to check out the FF swatches in person.

Navy blazer with charcoal or any odd trouser is pretty much a staple. If you want a blazer to provide contrast to navy dress pants, I would look into a Plaid or the plethora of options from Epaulet's FF Southwick blazers.

Easily a navy one...the latest southwick FF post should be perfect, and at a great price point. You may also want something, as others stated, to be a bit bolder for navy trousers...and grey plaid would work.

I'm looking into getting a sportcoat from Epaulet, but it doesn't really look like any of their sizes will fit me. I have 19" shoulders, 27" sleeves, and a 43" chest. Any suggestions? I like a very slim fit in the body.

Awesome. Thanks NYI. Any reason I should make a stop back by the Manhattan store tomorrow or just go to Brooklyn since I'll be there already? I head out Sunday morning and would have been pretty much crushed if they were closed all weekend.

We absolutely do, but only via special order. However, all of the Factory Finds jackets can be made in 34 or 35, so that's a great opportunity to pick one up. Here's the list of fabrics:

Ah sorry about that - we were closed today to give everyone on staff a two-day holiday.

We're absolutely open both Saturday and Sunday. Our hours are:
Brooklyn: Sat 12-7, Sun 12-6
Manhattan: Sat 12:30-7:30, Sun 1-6

Both stores will have a wide selection for you to see. The Manhattan store has a larger assortment of footwear and all of the Southwick Factory Finds swatches. The Brooklyn store has most of the sale product that you see online. But they're both a 15min subway ride from each other, so it's easy to go from one to the other if you need to. Hope to catch you this weekend!

Is there anyway to try on a 34 or 35 in store?
