Saphir makes a Navy cream polish, which we carry -- it's my understanding that Saphir developed their polish colors with Carmina, which is why they generally match so precisely. I think that little nick can also be taken out with some renovateur no problem (I use renovateur only on my shoes and I've yet to encounter a nick or scuff it didn't deal with).

Ive been looking for a tattersall or gun check style sport coat for a while now and this seems to fit the bill nicely for a summer weight option. My only slight reservation is in relation to the colour. Is it quite pinky, or is it more understated in real life ? Some of the pictures make it look a bit darker and in some its very light. Is the oatmeal tattersall much darker ? Many thanks for any advice ?

I'll second the sound advice you've already gotten. It definitely reads as blue / lavender. Don't get me wrong, it's still a very bold jacket, but I think the boldness comes from the small-scale pattern rather than its color alone. The fabric is awesome -- it's definitely something special that we were lucky to get our mitts on when we did.

Hey there,

Just drop me a PM or email. I'll need to look up your order to get sorted, but we'll get to the bottom of it.

Thanks,

Adele

It was some tweet at Pitti. Might be rumor though.

It's not a secret that they've been looking at a possible LA location for awhile now, every time someone pops in and asks when they will open in San Francisco, the response has always been "LA first."

Desert digicamo, though I suppose woodland would probably make me harder to see.

Thanks for clarifying that! Roughly how long after ordering did you get them?

Ordered May 21, and today (June 18) got my MTO UK sanded canvas jacket. Pretty quick.

Got my special order caramel ducks yesterday - went with a size 35 (up from the last pair I had in 34), and I think these will be perfect. I need to get the waist taken in, but the thighs and seat definitely fit better, slim but not skin tight.

Gonna toss them in the wash to get rid of any shrinkage, which shouldn't matter as much now as compared to my last pair, especially in the length since I went with the 38" inseam. I'm actually hoping it shrinks a but in the length because they're super long, and they should shrink down to a perfect size if they behave the same way as all the other 10oz ducks I've had. Now time to start re-buying more Rivets in size 35 with the extended inseam!

Those Alden Alt Weins are fantastic. Great pickup.

And an Epaulet in LA would necessitate me braving CA traffic more than once a year... decisions.gif
