any fit pics of those digital camos yet? I'm really thinking about picking up a pair
post #2102 of 57880
I just picked up a pair of the OD rivets today. With any luck, they may be on my doorstep this weekend. WOOHOO!!!
My OD chinos arrived today. The material is great. I just wanted to run it past everyone and see how my sizing went. I know they are a slim fit cut, I just want to make sure I didn't overdo it. I'm used to rattling around in clothes so this is a departure for me. I want it to be a bit slim but not OMG tight. The waist is fine just a big snug in the seat? These are size 30, I have a pair of 33 BK chinos that are about an inch or two big in the waist. My theory is when I order a pair of navy chinos later on I should get a 32 (accounting for the difference between the OD and the rest). Since they seem so fitted will they wear excessively?

I love the color and material. I'm not used to the rise in the seat being so low, but that's probably just me being paranoid about a plumberesque exposure.

I think what you should do is measure the actual waist size of your BK chinos. If they're an inch or two too big in the waist for you, subtract 1-2 inches from the actual waist size on the BKs and compare that number to the sizing shown on Epaulet's website for that item. Keep in mind that the OD chinos run a size big. I forgot about that when I ordered mine today. D'oh! The correct sizing is on their page though. - Keith

Thanks for the reminder - I'll see if we can hook up some quick shots tomorrow afternoon. I want to shoot the OD in natural light too, so you guys can see how subtle the ripstop pattern is.

Thanks for picking them up! I think that the fit looks great on you. These are a true size 31, which doesn't seem like it's stretched too tight.

With a lower rise, it's important to get a good fit at the waist, so that it doesn't "gap" in the back. These look good, but they should feel comfortable too. Compared to normal khaki's, the Rivet Chino's lower rise can take some getting used to, but that's part of its 'tude.

Holy god, the last run of B.Khaki sold out way faster than we anticipated. I've got another 100 units on the way, - they'll be delivered in about 4-5 weeks. Definitely check out the Olive Drab, we've still got size 30's in those (they run an inch big) and the color is pretty versatile.

Mike - those rip stop OD chinos look insane. Man I'm spent on cash though, but these are a one time run then right?

Also on an unrelated note, do you know how Seavees Pantone Oxfords run compared to Chucks, PF Flyers, Common Projects, Sperry's, etc? If I'm an 8.5 in Chucks would I be an 8.5 in Seavees do you know?

So i'm looking to buy a leather - probably the Schott cafe racer you guys carry. I'm a small in most mall brands (j.crew etc) and a medium in Gant Rugger fits me pretty much perfectly. How slim is it exactly? i've got a pretty decent drop.

Glad that you like them! I think that we'll do more runs in the future, it's just hard to come across the fabric. Getting 50/50 (cotton/poly) is easy, but only a few select mills do 100% cotton in this OD ripstop, and that's crucial for the fabric to develop some real character with wear. We bought everything that was on-hand, but we should be able to get more in late Fall. But outside of that, we'll have around 10-14 variants of the Rivet Chino this season, including two limited-run collaborative editions. Cords, heavyweight twills, washed twills, a dark grey (by popular request) and a few unexpected and mind-blowing fabrics will be coming. This thing is blowing up son! And Pantone's run about a half size small, along the lines of Nike and Adidas. If you take an 8.5 in Chucks, then I'd recommend a 9 in Seavees. Their products are nice.

Awesome! I'd say that you're a Medium in this. The sizing is pretty consistent with Gant Rugger and it has a very similar overall fit. It's consistent with our Epaulet shirts too. We've been selling a lot of these lately and I've been discussing it quite a bit with our customers. I'm personally a huge fan of this jacket. For me, it's the perfect storm for a black cafe racer. The fit is right on and the length is nice without being too cropped. The Icelandic cowhide takes a bit of breaking in, but will pay off with great, long-lasting wear. It's made in the US, the price is solid, and we consistently get great feedback on it. If you like the look of it, then I think you'll really dig it in person.

Got my sweet, sweet denimz.

Soak or no soak? I am new to this shit. I dont really need to shrink 'em, but Ive read about stitching tension, cloth density, etc so I was wondering if it would be recommended.

Thank you sir! Really glad that you like them. You don't have to wash them anytime soon. Some customers do if they want to shrink the inseam length. Whether you wear them raw for a long time or you wash them once and then wear them for a long time, it won't really change how they fade.

Right hurr! I got seriously excited when this arrived. For the past few months, we've been working on a snap front western-style variant of our EP's Utility shirt. We'll do this in the same natural-dyed Japanese chambray, and it has the exact same clean, slim fit as the Utility model. We were inspired by a vintage shirt that one of our friends owns, and used that as a base for the yoke design - which is pretty unique IMO. This is a fairly final sample. We've got to tweak a few details, add a bit more curve in spots, but this is 95% here. I can't wait! The drop date will be in about 6-8 weeks, and the price will be a bit more than the Utility shirt, but still very reasonable. I'll post some fit pics when we get a size M dude coming in and willing to put it on. And, we're planning three colors: Red White White body with Greycast Indigo Yoke View Larger View Larger View Larger View Larger

That looks awesome! Will definitely add that to go with my blue chambray from you. Been thinking about the red but for some reason couldn't pull the trigger since it was the same shirt. This is perfect.
