Just got refused for the US visa. Most probably that means I'm not stepping into an actual Epaulet store until I get married frown.gif

I received my FF Rivet Chinos yesterday thanks Mike and Adele - these are my second pair so I decided to go for a little more bold of a pattern. Can't say enough about the quality and construction on these.

Sorry to hear that. Hope you get to visit us here in the US sooner rather than later. We're mostly pretty nice... smile.gif

More FF regret here...I'm definitely picking these up if there is still fabric available during the next round.

Quick Carmina question--

Recently picked up the Rain last navy double monk and Forest last Greeley boot. Rain feels great in 10UK, but the 10UK Greeley is tight/uncomfortable around my left mid-foot. It felt a little better after several hours of inside the apt wear, but would this be enough to warrant a 'wide' MTO for future Forest lasted Carminas? Obviously shell won't give much, if at all. Thanks!

Do the Factory Finds pop up on the website? If so, how frequently? I haven't seen any in a while.

If I search factory finds, I get links (eg: http://epauletnewyork.com/products/factory-finds-rivet-chino-cotton-cashmere-twill-clay) but I don't know where to go to see them. Special orders?

They come up every now and then. Mike will let us know.

I'm literally foaming at the mouth in anticipation of my MTO jacket.  I know they quote 4-6 weeks, but how long did it take for some of you guys to get it?

As wj4 said, Mike will let us know. Just visit this thread on a daily basis and you won't miss the next round.

Also, if you don't feel like checking the thread all the time, you can get on their e-mail list and they will send out a newsletter whenever there are new products, including factory finds. Then again, all of us dudes who lurk the thread regularly usually get notified when the trouser fabrics go online before the newsletter goes out, so we get first shot at all the stock, which is nice because some limited options sell out extremely quickly....like under an hour quickly smile.gif

Thanks guys. I'll be sure to keep an eye on the thread.

We try not to just to keep everything organized, but drop us an email if you want to get in on the order. We can make that happen.

Does anybody know if I can wash these or should I get them dry cleaned? I wash all of my cotton canvas trousers but since these have the cashmere in them I was not sure. Will they shrink any? Help is appreciated.

Thank you sir, and glad that you're pleased with them! You can definitely cold wash/hang dry them. Shrinkage should be minimal, but the length could shrink an unpredictable amount, so I'd suggest washing before hemming just to be sure.

Ah really? That's terrible. Our customs and immigrations setup here is a freaking disaster. I'm sorry to hear that. I'm also sorry to everyone from abroad who ends sitting at JFK for three freaking hours waiting to get fingerprinted. Unfortunately, they never quite put this stuff up to a vote.

Hmm, I don't think so. In this case, the fit issue that you're getting is not so much the Forest last or the shell, it's the shape of the Greeley. Balmoral boots feel weird when you first wear them. They are significantly tighter across the top of the foot and front of the ankle because the design is closed. This felt strange for me too, as the Greeley was the first bal boot that I ever owned. They're pretty rare, so its the first time for many of our customers.

This is assuming that the tightness that you feel is at the top of the mid foot (which I think it would be). If its at the bottom then maybe the shape is too narrow, but the Forest is considered as wide that Rain, so I think that the difference would be at the top.

Shell will give quite a bit if you need it to, actually. I find it to be pretty elastic. If the Greeley's aren't painful to wear then try it for a day with the thinnest socks you can muster and you'll most likely find that they'll stretch to match. If that fails, then you can always run it by a cobbler who can stretch it more, but I'd be confident that you can break them in a bit to be comfortable.
