Hey guys I really appreciate all of the Brooklyn recommendations, I think I just may take the offer on this hotel as it seems really convenient to just about everything at a good rate and in a good neighborhood. Manhattan hotels have just become so unbelievably pricey since the last time I was out there two years ago, way too ridiculous and certainly doesn't leave any room whatsoever for my very first in-store Epaulet budget. In case any nights get a little too late in Manhattan and I need to get myself and the wife back in a safe manner I am assuming a taxi drive to Williamsburg is not that far fetched either?

Along with Drams and Post Office I was also advised to hit up The Shanty, Noorman's Kill and Henry Public for drinks... Brooklyn Fare, Isa, Roberta's, Luger for good dinner... and Egg, Rabbithole, and La Barricou for brunch, not sure if any of those sit well with you locals.

Also to get back on topic... I just received my Caramel's and these things are RIDICULOUS! The color and the material are unreal but my only very slight gripe which I hope my tailor won't have a problem with is the new-ish waist line... I have always been between sizes on rivet chinos (31 and 32) and these bad boys feel like a 30. I don't want to give up the perfect fit through the legs so I am taking them to my dude tomorrow to see what magic he can pull, he's an 85 year old man so hopefully the letting out of the waist will be self explanatory enough for him. Outside of that little issue these pants are ******* flawless. You clearly outdid yourself again Mike. Cheers on a wonderful product.

Man those pics of the Carmina Double Monks are killing me. I got a pair of the first batch and sent them back to Mike. I just didn't think the last was going to work for my foot and didn't want to risk wearing them for a few days to find out. Such a fine looking shoe though!

Just got home from work and had Mike's package waiting for me... the french blue chinos. I was able to snap a few pics.

I saw GBear's post and I think he sized down 1? I went TTS as my old Rivet Chinos & Walts in a 32. I want to reiterate that these are significantly longer than the original Rivets, which is big + to me. I could only single cuff the old ones as these can do a double (or hem). So far I really like them; fit, material and color are really outstanding. They aren't too stiff to me and I can't wait for more color releases. Really great work Mike, keep at it!

Man I'm looking forward to receiving my French Blue Rivet Chinos next Monday. Once I get my size dialed in (trying 1 size bigger on these new ones to decrease stress on the sewn-on buttons compared to the old metal buttons), it may be difficult for me to stop Epaulet from taking more of my money. All the pictures posted of the new Rivet Chinos look sweet. The Caramel duck has looked great in every single picture I've seen so far, and the plum duck is very intriguing. Is there a point where a guy owns too many pairs of pants from one shop??? My next pair of Epaulet pants will be my 10th, all purchased within the last half a year or so.

^ No such thing as too many pairs of Epaulet pants Mack. I tried holding out but couldn't resist those Caramel Ducks any longer. Good thing I didn't wait because my size (34) was the only size left, and I'm pretty sure I got the last pair because I don't see them on the website anymore. I'm really digging all the reports that these are a little longer than the old rivets, which hopefully means I can beef up my cuff on these a little more. :slayer:

Hey Mike,

What sort of goodies are you bringing to the SF Anniversary? I'd love to try on some French Blue chinos if possible!

Dammit, USPS didn't leave my package with the building manager, so I have to try and pick it up on Saturday...

I want my chinos.

So I'm a little annoyed with Epaulet. I placed the order on Friday for what was the current chino, then noticed right after that they just replaced them with a new one. I immediately messaged them asking about sizing and whether they could ship the new ones instead. They said yes (on Friday). While continuing to ask about sizing, I had them confirm a few times that they'd ship the new ones... well. They shipped out Monday and I received the old pair..

I was told to get size 31s so that is what I did. Man, I don't even want to imagine how crushed my crotch would be if I sized down one. :embar:

Can someone also explain the rise measurement? I took the traditional rise measurement, which was about 9 inches. Then I took the "full rise" as they described it and it was about 12 inches. Where does the stated 10.75 inches come from?

I really wished the canvas chinos came in the Rudy fit, or were able to be ordered in the Rudy fit. I can't fit into any Epaulet pants that aren't Rudys, and I want to buy more... damn you guys and your skinny legs.

Nevermind, I had the models backwards.

Just kop the Gitman Pindot Indigo Chambray. On a random note, I still love my Navy rivets chino...easily one of my favorite.
