Grab a pair of the Rudy style trousers.  It is a trouser which is bigger in the thigh but still tapered.  You can pick a fabric from the Walt trousers and they will do a special order for your size.  It will take 6-8 weeks, but it can be done.

Having said all that, I got home from work the other day and noticed this on the sole. I must have stood on some glass or something. Is there a quick fix for this or will I have to go and get them re-soled or re-crafted? Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Thanks

The shoes look ace! I'm actually wearing mine today too - going on 1.5 years of regular wear on them at this point. That saddle shell ages so nicely.

For the sole, try Shoe-Goo

My father was a cop for 20 years. He swore by this stuff. There must have been 5 tubes of it in our house when I was growing up, as cops will do anything to avoid getting their shoes re-soled. It will do a great job of filling in the sole as a cheap and fast solution.

I wouldn't. But we can special order you one with a single pocket or no pockets.

Does the Rudy not work for you? They're definitely designed for guys with muscular thighs.

What's the measurement difference between Walts and Rudys? I'm considering the switch.

Also can this be special ordered in 29?

You look like you're ripe for a resoling; you can feel that the leather is thinner at the ball of the foot from wear. Usually my left shoe gives out first. When that happens I'll just repair the shoe by filling it with something (Shoe-Goo like Mike said, or the hard sole filler that cobblers use), and send them in for rebuilding when I'm OK not having the shoe for a while.

^ Looks like Shoe Goo can buy him a couple of extra months. It'd be a shame to have to wait for resoling over the summer, which is prime dub-monks-sans-socks season.

I know I've asked about this before, and if it's not going to happen it's really not a big deal (I knew when I ordered it was unlikely), buuut is there any chance of factory finds jackets rolling in this week? I'd love to take mine on my honeymoon

I think early april was the earliest possible date, that said, I am seriously looking forward to my cranberry windowpane jacket. Does anyone have an idea of what trousers would look good with it?? I was thinking an olive/green/taupe...just not entirely sure

Can someone explain these "Factory Finds" to me like I am 5 years old?

-What is it?

-How does the process work?

-Where do you receive and see this information?
