Walt Pale Grape Herringbone. Really like how these are purple, but really just ever so slightly so.



Walt Navy Donegal Tweed.


Both Walts are very comfortable in warmer weather, though worn inside on the whole. The herringbone has a softer feel than the tweed, but both are fantastic fabrics with a nice weight to them.

Other items are J Press jacket, MTO shirts, and a pair of AE loafers.

Can people school me on the Epaulet trouser fits? I'm looking for a slim fit with a bit of taper that I can dress up or down with. Is it Rudy, Walt or Rivet Chino for me? Thanks in advance.

It says size down a half, like the Alden Barrie last sizing. I'm an 11E on the Barrie. Do you think an 11.5D will work for me in these?

Hmm, there's a very good chance that it will. Almost everyone bought the same size in this item as they would with the Barrie last.

The usual equation is to go up a half size to compensate for a width change. On some shapes, this is problematic because the shoe becomes too long. But, given the lace to toe nature of this item, I think that you're pretty safe. Even if the boot is long, the lacing is so extensive that you shouldn't slide around. You probably won't notice it at all.

The Walt is most likely your ticket. That's going to be slim and tapered, and nearly every walt can be dressed up or down.

The Rivet Chino is a more casual piece, but plenty of my customers have no problem wearing it as a business-casual item. It depends on how formal your workplace is. But the fit should definitely work for you as well.

Got my first pair of 12oz. Rivet Chinos today. A fine looking chino, no doubt. Curious, should I expect any stretching? I know the site says "Shrinkage or exceptional stretching is not a concern," so does that mean I should expect normal/usual amount of stretching? They're a but snug right now, and I must say, some stretching would be much appreciated really.

My opinion and experience is that if they're too snug for your liking, go up a size. You'll feel much more comfortable. Any stretching you get will be reversed whenever you wash them.

Shrinkage was pretty minimal if any on my navy rivets.

You will get a little bit of stretch (maybe a half size or so). I'm a 32 in the rivets, and they are a bit snug (not tight) after a wash. Stretch just a tad for a nice fit after wearing them for an hour or so. I was curious, so with my next order, I included a few 33's. They would have been too big for the fit I was looking for.

In short - they are cotton, they will stretch a bit, but these aren't APC's or anything like that. Don't be sizing down.
