I would buy 32 and take it in. I don't have muscular thighs either and I usually wear a 31. I have found that my size 30 trousers, while fine in the waist, start to feel too tight in the thighs and don't look good to me. Those aren't Walts, though, so those with specific experience may be able to comment. The Walts that I have (in 31 and 32) fit me pretty well.

My Salinger Double Monks are on their way!   Delayed delivery due to the weather. 

 

I've heard there's sizing issues. If my foot measures exactly US 11.5 after I've been standing on it all day, will this fit? (I ordered a US 11.5) Unfortunately I'm new to 'good shoes' and I don't have many other shoes or lasts to compare the Inca to.

 

Is there any timeline on when these (below) will be back in stock in 11.5? The Austerity Brogue is pretty kick-ass.

Okay the transition from that Ralph Wiggum pic to the Shawl Cardigan guy CANNOT be the same person. Congrats man! If thats really you in both pics (im kidding, i know its you), bravo on your transition, both stylistically and health-wise. You've done a great service to your children and the general public (by trashbagging those JORTS!)

I'm not really playing to win here, but I enjoy the contest so I thought I'd contribute. The first is me around 2005, I think. The second is from the other day (Epaulet SC and trousers). Please admire my belt in the first picture. And the visible tee. I can reassure you that I have since cut my hair.

Loving the combo in your second pic, Simplicio. What are the details on the jacket and trousers?

SC is the Berberis camel gun check. Trousers are the medium grey flannels (Rudy).

In case you were interested, the shirt and chinos in the first pic could probably be found at Banana Republic. Or even Express for Men. But I've tried to purge my memory of these details.

Dude, I had to scan my pictures too and I was born in '85! We used films back a decade ago. Technology has really evolved aggressively in the last 10 years.

When is the deadline for the contest? I don't recall reading that part...just remember about the cut off date for the before pictures being 16 years old or newer or so.

I was under the impression that final entries are this coming friday, and that original intention was to keep photos in the early 2000's range (not that I don't enjoy seeing these early 90's pics, just might be a bit far removed), or at around 16 years old minimum.

Did some more digging and found another old pic, so here's my entry #2 in the contest:

BEFORE - the sad thing is this pic wasn't taken all that long ago (I think this is from 2007) and I totally thought I was such a baller (this was my only suit at the time):
