I wear a small custom fit in RL, in between a 36 and 38R in suits, and wear 15 neck on dress shirts (Kent Wang size 15 dress shirts fit well if I add 1" to the chest and waist measurement).
Thanks.

We are similar sized, I think you'll be a small in the mainline Epaulet shirts. We extend a 14 day return policy for a full refund to SF members if it ends up not fitting you.

I should add that I'm 5'9" 150 if that changes anything.

Also, how does the fabric and fit of the brushed graphite rivet chino compare to the brushed french blue walt trouser?

They are different cuts. The rivet will be more slim than the Walt trousers. The rivet has a lower rise as well.

Do you guys ever plan on making pants with side adjusters?

The plaid pants I wore at Christmas have em, they're AWESOME...I think Mike is planning to do something with this at some point, but don't quote me on it. Maybe special order right now?

W, another SICK Python fit!

As far as the NYI, it is what its bruthas! Running errands today, picked up some Bourbon for later...mmmm:

Mike - Is there a Walt restock on the horizon?  Will there be more of any of the fall fabrics?

I'm trying to decide what trousers will suit my needs best and thought I'd ask a few questions of you to help me decide!

1. Looking at the Walt trousers, which fabric would be most appropriate for yer round wear? I live in rural Australia, in the desert and it gets quite hot, but also quite cool (for Australia). Is the Regiment Twill the most 'year round', or is something else more appropriate - I'm much more concerned about the trouser being appropriate in the heat than in the cold!

2. Do the trousers stretch much? I'm thinking that a size 32 would be 'just right', but if there's stretching, perhaps a siz 30 would be more appropriate.

3. I've also considered the Rivet Chino, but I think the Walt looks ever so slightly more formal, however my workplace is very casual, are there any major differences between these two trousers?

Thanks for your time and help,

Matthew

Sure thing! Regiment Twill, UK Sanded Canvas, and the Cadet Grey Merino wool are all excellent choices for year round wear. I'd say that the UK Sanded Canvas breathes the best out of all of them, and the Olive color is really versatile.

Don't worry about stretch on the trousers, they have a fully constructed waistband that keeps it's shape very well.

And the Rivet Chinos are a bit less formal than the Walts. The overall fit is similar, but the chinos have more of a "jean" fit with their lower rise and more casual construction. Plenty of guys wear them in businesss casual settings. With that model, you have a ton of fabrics to choose from. Any of the 8oz canvas fabrics (gunmetal, navy, khaki, pumice, fatigue, black, etc) are excellent for warm days. So are the duck canvas fabrics (caramel, plum, moss, desert) but those are a bit more casual with a larger weave.

If you were looking to try both, I'd suggest the UK Sanded Canvas Walt and the Gunmetal Canvas Rivet Chinos. Both of those are excellent trousers in versatile colors, and they're easily dressed up or down.

here's a pic of my #8 Brixtons that I wore today - these have about a year and a half of regular wear on them now (probably worn once every week or two), and the only maintenance I ever did was use a horsehair brush after each wear. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Both of these look awesome - thanks so much for picking them up!

Absolutely. We've got a delivery pending in the next 2-3 weeks, which will restock some Fall basics like Oxford Grey flannel, Navy flannel, our 120's and wool/cashmere dress pants, some cottons. We had a little left of Ironwood and Ivy Marl tweed that we cut into a few more units. And our Spring 1 delivery will come around early Feb, that's going to bring in some new cotton goods and some CRAZY new Linens - including a rad grape linen.
