Oh, it's there.

Yeah, I've been out & around a bit again. Got married too as some may have seen. Those photos are a little ways down the line currently, but they will surface soon.

Hmmm, single best....?

I love the navy monks with grey trousers. Either the Super 120's Medium Grey or Wool/Cashmere would earn my vote for single best. Outside of that, they're brilliant with anything in the tan or charcoal family. And they're really ace with selvedge denim.

Ah, sorry for the confusion, they're still $895. We're working on the new site everyday, so there's still a some bugs to work out.

And to that end, a HUGE THANKS to everyone who has been pointing out bugs and mistakes on our new site. Seriously, thank you! It's been a huge help, and we've been actively working on everything that's posted here.

From the talk of the Thom blazer, hopefully this is more in line with what most gents prefer smile.gif Though it's still a bit short since it only covers 3/4 of my rear, and not the entire. Pretty happy I got a chance to wear the trousers...bought them over the summer. I love the flecks of different colors and definitely kept me warm.

Loving the trousers and boots here!

The immortal "Mister Asscheeks" is actually a really great model for the limit of the Walt trouser fit. He's one of my good friends and very comfortably wears that shape. Overall the Walt works for about 85% of our customers and that includes guys with athletic builds who do squats.

A good rule of thumb is how slimmer jeans fit you. Classic slim jeans like Levis 501's and APC New Standards. If you've tried these on and you find them to be too constrictive, then chances are you'll need the Rudy fit. Most guys who wear the Rudy know it. Like me, they were constantly frustrated by slimmer trousers and jeans kind of fitting them, but being a touch too tight to really be comfortable. Feel free to shoot us some questions and sizing notes if we can help you to nail it down. Matt's a good contact for that - he's very up on our trouser shapes.

I have a fairly large and bulbous ass, so says my wife who calls me Rob-Lo (not to be confused with Rob Lowe). I usually buy a 33 and if the waist is too big take them in. Sometime a 32 is bang on PERFECT, but more often than not I size up to 33 in Rivets and Walts and if its too big have the seat taken in a touch.

"Rob-Lo" is officially the funniest thing that I've heard in 2013

The Veneto is pretty warm, but I'll also say that Matt is about 97% insane for wearing it today. It was REALLY freaking cold outside. I find the Veneto comfortable down to the low 40's, but after that I need to break out the bigger guns of winter coats.

That said, the brilliant thing about the Veneto overall is that it can make it down to that temperature, but it's also quite comfortable to wear earlier in the season. The Valtherm wool that they use is really breathable and insulating.

I sent this in an email, but it's beem about 10 days and I've not got a response (no worries, everyone's been busy).

Epaulet,

I'm trying to decide what trousers will suit my needs best and thought I'd ask a few questions of you to help me decide!

1. Looking at the Walt trousers, which fabric would be most appropriate for yer round wear? I live in rural Australia, in the desert and it gets quite hot, but also quite cool (for Australia). Is the Regiment Twill the most 'year round', or is something else more appropriate - I'm much more concerned about the trouser being appropriate in the heat than in the cold!

2. Do the trousers stretch much? I'm thinking that a size 32 would be 'just right', but if there's stretching, perhaps a siz 30 would be more appropriate.

3. I've also considered the Rivet Chino, but I think the Walt looks ever so slightly more formal, however my workplace is very casual, are there any major differences between these two trousers?

Thanks for your time and help,

Matthew

read thru some of the thread and look at some pics but i'd say yeah the regimental twill is a good call, though I think maybe a tropical wool might suit your needs as well (not sure if any are being sold right now though since it's winter in the states). No stretch so buy the size that fits you. I'll leave others to describe the detailed differences between the rivets and walts, but in general the rivets are slimmer and lower rise, and generally more casual in terms of fabrics as well.

nice! i love the eastern sierras. i go bouldering in bishop a few times each season, it's a bit further north from lone pine. you have an easy drive from LA...from the bay area, i take carson pass since the higher ones are usually closed. if the weather is really bad, i drive south via bakersfield (485mi!).
