Definitely, I'm going to order those for late March. I actually have quite a bit of calfskin on order, it's just that Carmina prioritized delivering shell cordovan this season. Next week's delivery has all of the navy calfskin special makeup styles that we ordered.

Sure, we can do them in any in-stock fabric that you see for the Walts, as long as it's not a plaid.

Scott and Charters are made of Scottish lambswool, so they're thicker, heavier, and warmer. Very much the classic scottish jumper.

Ferrante is fine-gauge Australian merino. It's lighter, softer, and slimmer.

Fit is pretty similar overall. The Ferrante tends to be slimmer due to the lighter quality of wool, but most guys would take the same size in both of the collections. The one exception is our "Hardie" shawl cardigan, where you'll probably want to size down one.

We actually no longer stock any trousers or chinos in size 28. They were just too difficult for us to sell "off the rack.'

That said, any trouser can be special ordered in a size 28 as long as we have the fabric on hand. We cut about 4-5 of these every month.

Always! A little birdie told me that we'll get some duck canvas trousers and a new side-tab model in late January.

I actually haven't gotten the final shipping manifest yet, I believe that it's largely special orders (navy calfskin, navy shell) and a bunch of restocks. But I'll post up any new styles as soon as they arrive. I'm thinking next Wednesday/Thursday.

http://www.epauletshop.com/servlet/the-1985/'Rand-Single-Monk-Cognac/Detail
I wonder if I should be sizing down a half from my normal lace-up size because:
a.) they are cordovan, which I understand fits a little looser?
b.) they are monk straps, which I understand need to be a little tight to stay on?

Overall, we've found our sizing advice on Carmina to be very accurate. Most guys will size down one from their true US sizing.

Now, if you already own a Carmina, you might need to go down a half from your typical carmina size on these. Shell Cordovan does make up a bit larger and you need a pretty snug fit on these as they're a laceless style. The best way to tell is to feel out how the laceup Carminas feel. If you've got room in them and you're consciously pulling them very tightly closed for a proper fit, then there's a good chance that you can size down on these.

Haha, easily the most hipster-ish that Epaulet has ever looked. We'll have to get you a one-way ticket to the Bedford Ave stop in Williamsburg.

Same. One of the best purchases I've made from Epaulet. Every time I wear it, someone asks me where they can get one.

Aww man, this is a bummer...but I totally understand that not a lot of guys wear size 28. Good thing I've built up a decent Rivet and Walt rotation already. smile.gif

I think you mentioned a special order/MTO section of the new website. Will this include ordering XS shirts and size 28 Rivets/Walts?

It would be cool if swatches were posted somewhere on the website so pre-orders could be submitted in time to make the first delivery. biggrin.gif

Any possibility of a shirting factory finds early next year?

Congrats PiJ (and SVB!).

Today was a Hannukah party with the in-laws, prepping for two days of binge eating, guess I'll go for a nice long run later.

The MTO section will largely be sportcoats, shoes, and factory finds for trousers, but we can take XS shirt orders & 28 Walt orders on most of our in-season stock.

And yes, I'll definitely do more preview swatches so that you guys can get onto the order right in the beginning smile.gif

Shirting factory finds would be rad. I'll have to see what I can do on that one.

AFAIK Epaulet don't order anything lower than US 8 unless you pay in advance

That's incorrect. Go on their website and you will see footwear in size 7 and 7.5 as well. They may sell faster, but they are there initially.
