Definitely, I'm going to order those for late March. I actually have quite a bit of calfskin on order, it's just that Carmina prioritized delivering shell cordovan this season. Next week's delivery has all of the navy calfskin special makeup styles that we ordered.
Thanks mike! I will probably take you up on the $40 up charrge for some cargo Oxford gray walts. I guess that means that you could probably do them in a 10oz or lighter olive or khaki cotton walt too? I'll just PM about that too. I will catch up after Christmas about them.
Sure, we can do them in any in-stock fabric that you see for the Walts, as long as it's not a plaid.
Scott and Charters are made of Scottish lambswool, so they're thicker, heavier, and warmer. Very much the classic scottish jumper.
Ferrante is fine-gauge Australian merino. It's lighter, softer, and slimmer.
Fit is pretty similar overall. The Ferrante tends to be slimmer due to the lighter quality of wool, but most guys would take the same size in both of the collections. The one exception is our "Hardie" shawl cardigan, where you'll probably want to size down one.
We actually no longer stock any trousers or chinos in size 28. They were just too difficult for us to sell "off the rack.'
That said, any trouser can be special ordered in a size 28 as long as we have the fabric on hand. We cut about 4-5 of these every month.
Always! A little birdie told me that we'll get some duck canvas trousers and a new side-tab model in late January.
Thank you sir and enjoy them!
I actually haven't gotten the final shipping manifest yet, I believe that it's largely special orders (navy calfskin, navy shell) and a bunch of restocks. But I'll post up any new styles as soon as they arrive. I'm thinking next Wednesday/Thursday.
Sorry I previously posted this in the wrong thread, but would anyone be willing to weigh in on some sizing advice for the 'Rand single monks on the Epaulet website?
I wonder if I should be sizing down a half from my normal lace-up size because:
a.) they are cordovan, which I understand fits a little looser?
b.) they are monk straps, which I understand need to be a little tight to stay on?
Overall, we've found our sizing advice on Carmina to be very accurate. Most guys will size down one from their true US sizing.
Now, if you already own a Carmina, you might need to go down a half from your typical carmina size on these. Shell Cordovan does make up a bit larger and you need a pretty snug fit on these as they're a laceless style. The best way to tell is to feel out how the laceup Carminas feel. If you've got room in them and you're consciously pulling them very tightly closed for a proper fit, then there's a good chance that you can size down on these.

Meanwhile, went to a corporate party, hipster style. What was I to do being no hipster at all? Call Epaulet to the rescue, that's what. (not seen: white JPs)
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Haha, easily the most hipster-ish that Epaulet has ever looked. We'll have to get you a one-way ticket to the Bedford Ave stop in Williamsburg.
