I actually have a question about the modified Walt shorts for anyone out there that has a pair - are they as slim in the thighs as regular Walt trousers? For example, if I wear a 33 Rudy very comfortably (I can technically fit into a pair of Walts, I've tried them on but they were just a little too tight in the thigh for me), is there any chance the Walt shorts in a size 33 would work for me?

EDIT: I tried finding measurements for shorts, but I couldn't find any left on the old site and the new site doesn't have the measuremts listed yet.

i'm feeling similar about the harris tweed slacks that just went up in a 34, though tailoring might not be so bad. the real issue is i have absolutely no chance to wear them, except maybe my hopeful upcoming trip to iceland.

Sizes are busted up at the moment, but we should get a restock within the next week or so. I wear mine a few times a week. They're a touch heavier than the Super 120s, but lighter than the flannel. And the hand on these is insanely nice.

Oh you'll be good with the Walt short in a 33. The thighs are actually a bit bigger than the Rudy - which is normal for shorts. I comfortably wear the same size in both the Rudy and the Walt short. There's still seam allowances that can be let out, but I doubt you'd have to do that.

Yup, good buy on that last remaining pair. We'll got a few factory finds up already that are quite rudy-friendly on epauletshop.com, and they'll be about five more fabrics to come in the next couple of days. The best news is: my dudes found fabric to cut another 12 Airforce Flannels and 10 Chessboard Birdseyes

Very cool way to fit the Royal Blue pants. I dig them with that jacket.

Hey Mike, is the weight on the birdseye around the same as the chartreuse tweed, and how do they both compare to the heavyweight twill chinos? Not sure if I'm kopping the birdseye though, burned waaay too much in a couple past months. And dat ashland tartan, aaargh

They are gorgeous and look heavy duty. I am way tempted and live in southern California!

I dont think it will fit. I am a 42 in the Caine and that is really really snug in the shoulders to where im debating not doing shoulder press for a few weeks.

Hmm...they must have a couple pairs in 34 cause I jumped on them last night. Only one size off for me...so a bit of tailoring and I am good to go. Looking forward to them

Just received my Flannel Cargo Walt's in the mail, size 34. The waist and legs are perfect. But...the thighs seem a little too narrow which might be okay with a plain trouser, but since the cargo pocket is right there, it kinda creates an awkward narrowing from the top of the cargo pocket to the bottom seem of it. Im not sure what to do...

 

Can the cargo pocket be removed? 

 

Am I simply destined for Rivets and Rudys? I love my green donegal rudy's. I wish these had the same silhouette. These were a epauletnewyork.com pickup, so I imagine they're final sale at the price I got them for.
