A little Epaulet in the wild. Some photographer awkwardly asked if he could take my picture in Central Park on Thanksgiving. You can blame him for the terrible border..

Just bought my first pair of Walt trousers, the Slim Walt Regiment Twill Trouser in Gunmetal and noticed the tag on the waist that says to only professionally dry-clean them. Being that they're twill, should I really not machine wash them in gentle cycle in cold water?

Love them, by the way. Walts are my new default work trousers. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

You can disregard the dry clean only label. I machine wash my cotton Walts. Best bet if the fit is right now is to go with a cold wash and air dry. I personally size up and then wash and dry once or twice to get the fit I like. None of my Walts have burst into flames. smile.gif It's cold wash and air dry after that though.

Enjoy the trousers. You'll probably end up with a few more...

Frank is spot-on. For fine cotton garments we always recommend to machine wash cold and hang dry.

Is there any chance of rivet chinos being made in longer lengths?  I really love the cut and fabric, especially my caramel ducks, but they're a little too short after washing.

If I recall, Dylan wears a Medium in Epaulet shirts yes? Is that a medium or a small Ashland in the pics?

Sorry for shirt sizing questions, but I'm second guessing a couple recent purchases and have some others in mind...

Picked up the butterscotch and olive canvas Walts from the post office this morning and they're being hemmed right now. The fit is great and I love the colours! I've got two more on the way from the Need Supply sale.

 

All that's left now is to get a pair of four season mid grey wool work trousers! Any recommendations?

^ either the Oxford grey flannel or super 120s mid grey are your best best for an all-around wool work pant. Personally I think the Oxford grey flannels are the most versatile wool pants I own. They will wear a little warm in the summer if you are in a hot climate, but they're perfect for every other season.
